As we prepare for the weekend.....Please see our note below regarding parking at the Mt. Hope Road Launch Parking Lot. To avoid congestion, we encourage hikers and site seekers to park at Brambleton Community Park where you can easily access the trails and water to the right of the NRPA Building (22377 Belmont Ridge Road). Parking at Mt. Hope is only permitted in the parking lot at the launch point. Property located outside of the gate is private property.
Good Afternoon Beaverdam Followers:
We hope everyone had a great weekend. We would like to provide some important reminders for when you are planning to visit Beaverdam Reservoir. Please stay tuned for future posts regarding rules and regulations as we all adjust to the re-opening of the reservoir.
-Planning a hike? - To avoid parking congestion at the Mt. Hope access point, we recommend parking at Brambleton Community Park off of Belmont Ridge Road and accessing the trail head along the side of the NRPA Building (22377 Belmont Ridge Road). These trails are well established and can give you easy access to the shoreline to take in the beautiful views in a peaceful setting.
With the weekend upon us we want to emphasize the need to limit groups to less than 10 people in our parks. Social distancing guidelines should be followed while on our trails and in the parks. We can all do our part to flatten the curve.
