Why do we have Run on the River every year?

To fund swimming lessons for all Astoria School District 4th graders and to provide funding for youth sports and after school programs run by the Astoria Parks & Recreation Department!

This year Fort George Brewery is sponsoring and hosting Run on the River at the Fort George Beer Pier on Saturday, May 30th. The Astoria Community Foundation raises money to support or community's access to recreation through this run. If you’ve been waiting for the right motivation to sign up for a 5k, 10k or 1/2 marathon - it doesn’t get any better than a Fort George Beer at the end of the course.. for those 21 and up. We hope to see you there!

We are 4 days out from race day!! Check your email for race weekend info including dates, location, and times for packet pick up! Also, it’s not too late to register!! Join us for a weekend filled with fun starting with Lager Fest Friday and 5k, 10k, half marathon, and kids races on Saturday! The weather is forecasted to be absolutely beautiful!
