Persistence Barrel Horses

Exciting news for 2025! I am now offering to travel to surrounding areas for lessons, for groups of 3+! We are also opening up a few more spots for lessons my barn, to come and ride with us. Availability on a week to week basis!

In addition, I will also be opening my schedule up on a monthly basis for the Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas!

Ask God and he will align you with the right people and the voice of experience that you need in each moment. If you open your mind to constructive communication and praying in specifics you will be amazing at what God does in your life.

Lately I feel like I see more of people putting others down in this industry rather than building eachother up… I would like to give credit to one of the most staple and consistent people in my life. Not just when it comes to training barrel horses but when it comes to life in general… She will never accept an ounce of credit, but she deserves every bit of it. She has encouraged me to try bits I would not have been confident enough to try, she has pushed me to think outside of the box with drills I had not considered, she has looked me in the face and convinced me I was crazy for not believing in myself as a trainer, she has endlessly given her opinion without ever expecting a single thing in return to help me “make and fix” horse after horse in my program. She has led me through so many different life choices outside of horses and kept my head above water through every stage. At this point I wonder if we should just combine our programs into one.

I say all of this to say, I hope that as a young trainer and jockey or a trainer/jockey of any age for that matter… please do not be too prideful to ask for help and always give credit to the people who help grab you by the bootstraps and pull you up when you want to give up without an ounce of judgement or expectation. We all need help and perspectives from knowledgeable horseman and leaders in Christ.

I could go on for HOURS about what this woman means to me. I hope and pray that God gives everyone their own Jacy Shae. 💕

Everyone else is already cruising their 3 yr olds through the pattern, meanwhile I’m just stepping on mine for the first time and enjoying beautiful sunsets! 😅

Watching God work is so incredible. 2024 has been such a blessing thus far. Starting in March I will have a couple of openings for outside horses! Futurity prospects, consignments, seasoning, tune-ups!

8 yr old gelding by A Streak Of Fling o/o Nana Time (Dashing Val). “Smoke” is ready to be someone’s main mount. Plenty of 1D stats available from the southeast and most recently putting them together in TX. He is currently legged up, clocking and ready to go! Paid into FF, Pink and Ruby.

GL Go Roarrr Go
4 yr old gelding by Roarrr o/o GL Go Frenchgirl Go (Guys French Jet). Lightly started on the barrels, loping the pattern. Has been hauled to town and handles it fine. Paid into FF, Pink and Ruby. Does require some maintenance but it is managed easily. 10k.

10 yr old 3D grade mare. Perfect for a Junior/high school rodeo girl on a budget! Super fun, point and kick type! I have been using her in my lesson program for the last several months. Plenty of videos available with younger kids trotting/loping the barrels on her but she is more on the excited side so not for a true beginner. Hauls very easy. Quiet on the ground. Gets along fine with other horses. 15’2 hands. 7k.
