5 years ago vs. now.

I’m proud of both versions of me — and that’s not something I would’ve said a few years ago.
Here’s what I’ve learned in the years between these two photos:
Lean is a season, not an identity. For a long time, I tied my worth to how shredded I could get. Stage condition was the goal, the metric, the proof. But peak condition is a moment. What you build in the years around it is the actual career — and the actual body.
Off-season is where the real work happens.
Right now I’m carrying more muscle, eating more food, lifting heavier, and yes — I’m softer than I am on stage. That’s the point.
You cannot build a championship physique in a deficit. Muscle is built in a surplus, with recovery, with patience, and with a metabolism that actually works.
Metabolic health is the foundation, not the afterthought. Years of prep cycles taught me that you can’t out-discipline a broken system. A thyroid that converts. Hormones that cycle. A gut that absorbs. Insulin sensitivity that responds.
These are non-negotiables before I ever talk about getting lean again.
Both versions earned their place.
The woman on the left fought for that pro card.
The woman on the right is doing the unsexy, slow, strategic work of building a better package for the next time she steps on stage.
Same athlete. Different season. Both worthy of respect.

When fat loss stalls—even though you’re doing everything right—
It’s rarely a discipline problem.

There are days I’m deep in business mode — meetings, running a gym, content, clients, decisions that don’t shut off at 5pm.
There are days coaching takes everything I’ve got — emotionally and mentally.
And there are days I’m just a wife who wants to be present, not answering emails or thinking about the next problem to solve.
I’ve learned that trying to give 100% to everything at the same time is the fastest way to burn out.
So I don’t aim for perfect balance. I aim for priorities.
Some seasons my business needs more of me.
Some seasons my clients do.
And some seasons my marriage comes first.
What keeps me grounded is structure, boundaries, and being really clear on what actually matters.
Training is my anchor. It’s the one thing that keeps my head clear when everything else feels loud.
If you’re juggling a lot right now and feel like you’re failing at “balance,” you’re not.
You’re just in a season.
And learning how to move through it without losing yourself — that’s the real strength.
