This is not the hour to be spiritually asleep, passive, distracted, or consumed with the cares of this world. GOD is calling His people back to the altar, back to prayer, repentance, surrender, and true intimacy with Him.

Kingdom Reading Academy welcomes readers at ALL reading levels, ages 4 through adult. Through weekly sessions, meaningful discussions, and engagement with the Word of GOD, we are developing literacy, biblical understanding, and discipleship.

Sometimes the hardest part of choosing a different educational pathway isn't finding the resources. It’s letting go of the idea that education has to look the way we have always known it to look.

A child may thrive in a traditional classroom. Another may flourish through homeschooling, virtual learning, a hybrid model, a microschool, individualized support, or a combination of different approaches.

Choosing differently does not automatically mean a child is behind, struggling, or unable to succeed within a traditional setting. Sometimes it simply means a family has recognized that there is another environment or approach that better supports how that child learns, grows, and develops.

This is where our thinking concerning education has to expand.

We don't have to force every child into the same educational mold simply because that mold is familiar to us. Parents and caregivers can become intentional about building an educational experience that considers the whole child, their development, their gifts, and where they are headed.

Over the next few weeks, we're continuing this conversation because families need to know that there are options, there are resources, and there are different pathways available.

Many of us grew up with a particular picture of what education was supposed to look like.

Children went to school, followed the established structure, progressed from grade to grade, and that was simply considered the way education was done.

Yet education does not have to be limited to one model.

This isn’t about bashing public schools or the educators serving within them. It’s about expanding our thinking and recognizing that children have different gifts, learning styles, purposes, and ways in which they thrive.

Homeschooling is one pathway, but it isn't the only one. Virtual learning, microschools, hybrid models, tutoring and educational support, community-based learning, and personalized approaches can all become part of how a family builds an educational pathway.

Parents and caregivers have permission to think beyond what has traditionally been placed in front of them. Educating a child in this era may require us to become more intentional, flexible, and willing to consider pathways that look different from what we experienced ourselves.

Over the next few weeks, I want to unpack this conversation and challenge how we think about educating children in this era, because there is more than one way to build an educational path that prepares them for where they are going.
