Making the most of my new year! 38 Special 🤩 lock & loaded

Not every room gives you applause.
Some rooms give you evidence.
Over the past 2 years, I’ve had the opportunity to speak on the intersection of money, mental health, trauma, and emotional wellness across campuses, student groups, and wellness spaces.
What continues to stand out most is this:
People are not struggling because they are “bad with money.”
They are often carrying emotional blueprints they were never taught to name.
And when we create space to talk about the emotional roots of money, shame starts to loosen.
Recent audience feedback across workshops and presentations:
• 100% found the session valuable
• 93–100% said the sessions were engaging, relevant, and interactive
• 93–100% said they would want me to speak again
But honestly, the numbers matter less than comments like this:
“It was insightful and made me reflect on myself and my financial situation.”
“You learn about the psychological perspective of finances and how to examine your financial mindset and see what needs to change.”
That is the work.
Not just financial literacy.
Not just mindset.
But healing the relationship with money from the root.
I’m deeply grateful for every room, every student, every conversation, and every opportunity to remind people:
Money has feelings before it has numbers.

• Why do smart people still feel anxious about money?
• Why do money conversations in relationships feel so hard?
• Why do we repeat the same financial patterns even when we know better?
These are the questions we will answer during the workshop on March 21.

Many of us were taught how to earn money, save money, or spend money.
But very few of us were ever invited to explore the emotional experiences that shaped our relationship with money.
Money often carries stories.
Stories about survival.
Stories about responsibility.
Stories about worth and security.
When we take time to reflect on those stories, we begin to understand why certain financial patterns show up in our lives and relationships.
This is the heart of the work I’ll be exploring in my upcoming workshop:
Rooted Wealth: Uncovering the Emotional Roots of Money

I’m curious — what is one message you remember learning about money growing up?
03/08/2026
You can earn well and still feel emotionally unsettled about money.
Many high achievers carry invisible financial pressure.
Pressure to help family.
Guilt when spending.
Fear of making the wrong financial decision.
These patterns rarely start with numbers.
They often begin with the emotional stories we learned about money long before we earned our first paycheck.
On March 21, I’m hosting a live virtual workshop where we’ll explore the emotional roots that shape how we earn, spend, save, and support others.
Rooted Wealth: Uncovering the Emotional Roots of Money
If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to join the conversation.
