Meet recap!

The BASA cross country teams competed yesterday in the Barrow County championship against Bethlehem Christian, Winder-Barrow, and Apalachee.

Both the boys and girls finished in second overall behind Bethlehem Christian.

Blazers captured both individual championships, however, with strong performances by Alex Everett and Yaretzi Vega.

The Blazers are back in action on September 12th at the Orthowest Invitational in Carrollton.

Congratulations to senior Alex Everett for his first place finish last Saturday in the small school division of the Northeast Georgia XC Championships!

In addition, his time of 17:11.99 earned him the award for the fastest Boys 5k time of the meet.

Alex Everett SMASHES the school record in the 3200 M run with a 9:52.58 and takes third overall at the 1A-1 state meet!
