Get Ready for This Fall’s Endurance Races!

July 1st is here! We are officially three months out from the first Texas endurance race of the season, held in Athens at Trace the Trails on October 2nd.

When prepping a young, green, or unconditioned horse for their first 25-mile race, a 3-month window is our golden standard. Our goal during this time is to build both physical strength and mental confidence. We establish a rock-solid foundation of Long Slow Distance (L*D) mileage while simultaneously introducing them to every aspect of life as an endurance horse. This includes trailering, large group rides, water crossings, ATV/road exposure, pacing, mock vetting, crewing, and so much more!

We are now opening spots for both you and your horse to join our training program and get race-ready for the fall. Alternatively, you can send us your young horse for 3 months of comprehensive training, and we will successfully campaign them through their first 25-mile event on your behalf.
Either way, now is the time to get moving!

We came to our 100 acre ranch in Bivins, Texas in May of 2022, and now we have just added 75 acres of grazing land along with 10 cows, which came with the land.
We love our ranch and thank God for it daily and HE just added to it, without us even searching for it.
This week we will be putting 11 of our retired race horses and yearlings on 25 or this 75 acres, which leaves us with 50 acres for the new found cattle business. These pastures should take us from now, all the way to the end of November, until we require hay for our animals.
Chris Jansen, from our ranch, negotiated for the additional property and here he is giving us a video of tour.
