Dumber Than A Genius

Good day good people
Let me start off by somewhat apologizing. I planned to record myself and give my take on the Superbowl but a particular handsome little boy has decided I cannot get any alone time to do so therefore I will just type it. Now I can't front, I like when he wants to be up under daddy.
Now to the game.

This year has shown that winning in the NFL is still a true team sport. Enough of this BS about the quarterbacks win blah blah. There is no superstar QB playing. There is no top 10 winning head coach. The biggest star on the field will be Bad Bunny and Cardi B...I mean Cardi's dude Stephon Diggs.
These two teams are pretty similar to each other. Both are tough in the trenches. Both fly around on defense. Both have QB that have proven they understand the game of football. Neither team will just beat themselves, they play sound football. Oh yeah, both moved on from polarizing head coaches and QBs.
My pick for the is the team with the better special teams play. Special teams is not just returning kicks and punts, it's field position and field goals as well. I think Seattle plays better situational football on special teams. I think that will be a big factor and it's hard to show that in the stat sheets...but if you know you know.

I hate this one because Denver lost Bo Nix to a broken ankle. Unlike a lot of idiots that think you determine the winner based solely on the QBs...we all know this is the ultimate team sport. Can Jarrett Stidham pull a Jeff Hostetler? I'm rooting for Denver but smart money says NE gets it done.

This is the game to watch. You know the Rams superstars but you don't really know Seattle's, but you will after this game. Short and sweet.

Rams vs Bears
Props to the LA Rams. I did not see this coming this year. They adjusted their squad and continued to be a top dog (I hear one of those commercials already) in the NFC. Adding DaVante Adams to pair with Puka Nacua made a dynamic duo at WR. Stafford is padding his HOF resume and another Superbowl puts him in some secret rooms. There is only a hand full of QBs with multiple Superbowl titles. Elite QB status.
Now on to DA BEARS. I still don't know what the hell I'm seeing out of these guys. I saw two teams last week. I saw a team that did everything possible to lose but turn around a sn**ch victory out of the jaws of defeat. And they been doing it all year. And I think...I love this team. Especially the QB Caleb Williams. He has some Brett Farve in him. Blasphemy I know but Brett would make some head scratching decisions for the bad and for the good but still pull out a win. I mean he led the World in interceptions but has like 185 victories so...go figure.
Expect a super ugly game and nothing is uglier this time of year than DA BEARS. I know that sounds like a diss but I swear it's a compliment. It is too windy, too snowy and too ugly for the beautiful WR duo and the dynamic arm of the Rams offense. There has to be some uglass (ugly ass) football played today and Chicago is that pig with lipstick.

Denver/Buffalo gave me the type of game I wanna see. Down to the wire. No flinching allowed. Absolutely loved it.
Today we got the Patriots and Texans. I admit I am a bit bias because I am a fan of DeMeco Ryan. ROLL TIDE! However the excitement that he has on the sideline reminds me of a young Mike Tomlin.
All of that being said I think I'm taking the Patriots. It's called home field advantage for a reason. Now if this was in September I would take Houston but not in January. It's expected to be a SnowBallGame. Ugly conditions will minimize your ability to be dynamic. You just have to play fundamental hard gritty football. Patriots live in these conditions and it's hard to beat a time in their backyard.

I don't know what is up with these Niners. Despite loosing people they continue to figure out how to win. They never beat themselves which sounds simple but tell that to my Eagles.
However Seattle is talented everywhere. Just got to wait and see if they are really ready for the bright lights of the playoffs. I think being at home is huge for them. The 12th man is a real thing up there. I think they get it done.

Bills coming to Denver to pay the Broncos. I think this is do or die (Do you wanna ride.....sorry) for Josh Allen. All of the big dogs are out of the way in terms of QBs. If he doesn't make that superbowl run this year they are going to clown him in the media. Well they're going to clown him.

First WR EJ Williams Jr. The 6'4 Senior has sure hands but in my opinion doesn't get enough opportunities on the field...but I may be a little bias.
Next CHS graduate is the 6 ft freshman Daylyn Upshaw. Young man is finding his way on the field at WR and have great years ahead of him. Either way the Tri-City area will claim a national title in a couple of days.
I don't know if I'm stupid or was stupid in the past but I had not been impressed by Indiana. I did not think they were that good but these boys keep WINNING. Now I'm going to go on a limb and probably give myself the credit I deserve for being Dumb but...

Great games yesterday
The Panthers just couldn't pull it off but that experience will help them in the long run. Chicago just will not die. That team is determined to win regardless of what's going on.
Let's pick these four games today.
I'm taking the Bills over the Jags today. Bills have to lean on experience and know how in this game. They know that playoffs football is different than regular season and I don't think Jacksonville has enough experience at the leadership positions.
25-20 Buffalo
Philly over San Fran. This is my Eagles game to lose. They have not looked like Superbowl Champions this year but that experience means something. 49ers will not go down easy.

Patriots over Chargers. I just don't trust the Chargers. NE is a little more battle tested in my opinion.

Steelers over Texans
The game is in Pittsburgh. You got Mike Tomlin and Aaron Rodgers. Playoff atmosphere. Respect to the Texans but that may be overwhelming in January.

These are not your dad's Bears. This team does not simply dominant on defense and have excellent special teams. This team goes out and out up points and it's not all by the running back. They QB play by Caleb Williams is effective and they follow him. There's just something about this team.
On the other hand the Packers come in with a very good team. They have had hiccups this season like every other team but something feels off. I expected more from this team this year and I haven't been impressed. Some teams are built for the playoffs and I am not sure I see that in Green Bay this year.
This is one of those rivalries were anything can happen but I think Chicago is ready to take that next step. This won't be easy. Expect a single digit victory.

Football is excellent this time of year. Nothing like the NFL playoffs. Let's get into today's games. Panthers are back in the playoffs. Granted they got in backwards, they still made it. As much as I would like to see Bryce Young and those guys do well...it's just not going to happen today. Stafford and the Rams will go into Carolina and handle business. Expect a ten point victory.

College football playoffs is down to the final 4. Today we gonna look at Ole Miss vs Miami. Let me start by saying it's good to see the Canes in the mix again. I think it's good for college football. Now this is not the Canes from those glory years and that's not to disrespect the current group of football players on this roster but those teams back in the day were LOADED. NFL talent up and down the roster.
Respect to Ole Miss. What other team loose their Head coach weeks before the playoffs begin and be successful. I mean they went blow for blow and beat a focused Georgia team. In my opinion UGA was the best team in CFB this year.
Now is it just me or is Trinidad Chambliss looking real Vince Young/Cam Newton-ish right now. I am a Bama fan but I remember that year that Cam just was not going to be denied. Same with Vince Young. At times some players have put in that cape and saved the day. If Chambliss play the way he played against the Bulldogs two more times...then you have your National Champions.
Picking this game is hard. I think Miami from top to bottom has the better players. Problem is Ole Miss seems to be better in the trenches...mainly on defense. Those boys beat up UGA and completely took away the run. They played mean and aggressive over the ball. All of that being said...
