There’s nothing more rewarding than watching someone go from feeling intimidated by AI to confidently using it on their own.
These photos capture moments from another AI Workshop for Beginners, where participants explored practical ways to use AI in their everyday lives, careers, businesses, and creative projects. My goal is always to make AI feel approachable, useful, and empowering—not overwhelming.
One of my favorite moments is walking around the room, answering questions, seeing those “aha!” moments, and watching everyone help and encourage one another.
A special thank you to Julian for assisting throughout the workshop and helping participants get set up and stay on track. Your support made a big difference.
Thank you to everyone who invested their time in learning something new. Technology continues to evolve, but learning doesn’t stop—and neither do the opportunities that come with it.
If your library, organization, church, community center, or company is interested in hosting an AI Workshop for Beginners, I’d love to help your community build confidence with AI.

We completed our 4-part AI Workshop for Beginners at the Cascade Library, and what an incredible journey it’s been! It has been such a joy watching everyone grow more confident using AI for everyday life, work, and business.
A huge thank you to Andrea Robinson, Branch Manager, for the opportunity to teach this series. I’m honored to share that I’ve been invited back this fall to bring even more AI learning to the community!
To everyone who attended, thank you for your enthusiasm, your questions, and your willingness to learn something new. I can’t wait to see many of you again this fall! ❤️

Today at the Cascade Branch, our AI Workshop for Beginners gave participants hands-on time with ChatGPT — and yes, we practiced until the “AI mystery” started making a little more sense.
We covered how ChatGPT can help with everyday tasks, writing, emails, brainstorming, and personal productivity.
A big thank you to Julian for patiently helping participants maneuver the laptops, navigate the tools, and build confidence one click at a time.
At Rewrite & Rise, we believe AI literacy should be accessible, practical, and beginner-friendly. Today was another reminder that people don’t need to be “tech experts” to start learning — they just need a welcoming space to practice.

What an incredible challenge! We are persevering on I-285 for almost 2 hours due to an 18 wheeler blaze.
My heart is heavy with the tough decision to cancel our AI class for today, but I promise a brighter learning experience next week, everyone!
This testimonial from Vivian is a beautiful reminder of why this work matters.
Thank you to everyone who attended Day 1 and trusted us with your learning journey.
More beginner-friendly AI workshops are coming soon.
A big thank you to Cascade Library Fulton County Library for making sure every participant had access to a laptop. That support matters when people are learning technology in real time.
Special thanks to Julian for helping with tech setup and registration. And when my own laptop started acting up, Julian and the branch manager came to the rescue with a loaner so we could keep going.
We had a few bumpy moments, but we made it through together.
That is what learning AI is really about. Not perfection. Just staying with it, asking questions, and realizing, “I can do this.”
Grateful for the energy in the room and excited for the rest of the series.

Special thanks to Mr. Okeh, Librarian Senior and Computer Teacher, for his support and partnership in helping make this session meaningful.
Yesterday’s session focused on how Claude can support resumes, LinkedIn profiles, job searching, networking, and career planning.
What made the class special was the conversation. Participants shared their real experiences using LinkedIn, what’s working, what feels frustrating, and where they want more confidence.
Grateful for everyone who showed up, shared, and stayed engaged.
This is why community AI education matters.

A special thank you to Tish Jackson, Branch Manager of Wolf Creek Library, for stopping by to welcome the participants and thank them for showing up to learn something new.
That moment mattered.
I’m grateful for library leaders like Tish who understand the role community spaces play in helping people build real-world digital skills.
This is what community-centered AI learning looks like.
Accessible. Practical. Human.

Day 2 of the AI Workshop for Beginners is happening today at Wolf Creek Library in Camp Creek at 2:00 PM.
We are diving into how to use Claude as your own personal assistant for planning, writing, summarizing, and getting more done without burning out.
No tech background needed. Just bring your curiosity. This is free, open to everyone, and designed for real life, not just the classroom.
Have you ever wished you had an assistant who never sleeps and never judges your questions? That is what we are building together. See you there.
