Looking back to when I started lashing almost 4 years agoā¦.

2020 VS 2022..same client š«£

I was introduced into the lash industry in 2016. I had just found out I was pregnant, was a college drop out, and living with my momš
I needed a job really bad and was out shopping with my mom when we came across this lash studio in the plaza we were at. Lash extensions werenāt as big as they are now back then so I had no idea what they were on top of the fact that I was depressed so I told her to go in there and check it out while I went to the car.
She came back and said āTheir hiring and said send your resume.ā So I did and was hired as a lash consultant there. I learned the ins and out of lashing but never thought I could actually be one of the technicians. Fast forward 3 years later I stepped out on faith and took a one day class to get certified.
I left that class barely able to hold the tweezers in my left hand to isolate šš I wasnāt confident AT ALL. It took me 6 months to even advertise for models to practice onš„“
Then COVID came. I was furloughed from a high salary job and had no idea what I was going to do. So I said āF itā letās just do this lash thing sis š¤·š½āāļø
Iāve given up SO MANY TIMES! From feeling frustrated with the fact that I was spending 4+ hours on a set that looked like I did NOTHING when I was doneš to feeling defeated because I had the same 4 clients for almost a year and a half straight.
Still I kept pushing. And everyday Iām still learning, still growing and FINALLY have the confidence that I can compete with the best of them! šŖš½
If youāre just starting in your lash journey, donāt give up sis! I still have so far to go but if I throw in the tweezers now Iāll never see whatās really in store for meš¤ Same goes for you too.
Just keep taking it one lash at a timeāØ
