Swear I hate this part. 💔

Today was one of those reminders that DSSD is so much bigger than step.

One of our Kool Kids is moving back home to Ohio, and seeing her cry absolutely broke my heart. Her grandmother was crying. I was trying not to cry. It was just one of those moments.

People see the performances, the trophies, the viral videos, and the big moments. What they don’t see are the relationships that are built behind the scenes.

This little girl had no idea I was coming to surprise her. When I saw her wearing her DSSD colors, her visor, and repping us loud and proud, it reminded me just how much this team means to these girls.

Her grandmother worked hard to make sure both of her granddaughters could be a part of this journey, and I will never forget that.

Moments like this are why I try not to get too attached. Not because I don’t care, but because life happens. Families move. Situations change. And sometimes you have to say goodbye to people you’ve grown to love.

To our Kool Kid, Ohio is getting a special one. ❤️

No matter where life takes you, you’ll always be a part of the DSSD family.

We love you, and we’re going to miss you so much. 💙❤️💛💚
