One of WWE’s Most Popular and Successful Tag Teams Ever The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have left WWE.

Woods who joined the company in 2010 and Kingston who originally signed with WWE in 2006 both re-signed in October 2025.

With 3rd member Big E, The New Day won the WWE Raw/SmackDown/World Tag Team Championship a staggering 12 times in total.

Xavier Woods was crowned the King of the Ring. While Kingston became WWE Champion at WrestleMania. also winning the Intercontinental Championship once, the United States Championship three times, to become a Grand Slam Champion.

Aleister Black was reportedly originally planned to be paired with Randy Orton and NOT Pat McAfee🚨

It was noted that WWE originally had a much darker storyline planned between Orton and Cody Rhodes leading into WrestleMania 42, with Black attempting to get Randy to embrace his dark side and the “Apex Predator”

Additionally, this would have lead to a tormented Orton with him struggling between landing the punt kick or not on Cody at WrestleMania, with him ultimately paying the price for hesitating with Rhodes retain the WWE Championship in Las Vegas

This plan was scrapped in favor of TKO inserting Pat McAfee with things playing out how they did on TV and at WrestleMania 42 and Rhodes retaining the title
