Summerhill Showdown CX was a blast. Let’s do it again this weekend in Grant Park!

The 2024 Georgia Cyclocross season wrapped up over the weekend and what a blast it was! We clawed our way to 6th place overall in the team standings (out of 80+ teams) and had quite a few riders take a series win or podium.

Weekend highlights:

🐾 Elanor made a roaring comeback from injury with a dominating win in the women’s Cat 3 race.

🐾 Brian snagged his first-ever podium in the Cat 5 race.

🐾 Heidi took a win in the women’s masters race and a podium in Cat 4.

🐾 Cody grabbed 3rd place in the 35+ masters race.

🐾 Meanwhile, Jeremy, Evan and Jerry focused on what really matters—sick tricks, barrier antics, and perfecting their handup game.

This season was better than we could’ve imagined, and we can’t thank the GACX team enough for all the hard work and great times.

The pentultimate race for the 2024 season took place over the weekend at Nash Farms in Hampton and the cats were at it again. We took 8 total podiums and had a blast hanging and racing with all of the friends. A few highlights included:

* 4 wins from (as well as winning the team fashion show)
* 2 wins from (despite getting lost at least once and running into the tape while attempting to re-mount)
* Recruiting to race for us even though he’s still in the wrong kit
* “Mid” camping
* shredding it in the Cat4 and Singlespeed races (and finally having his first beer)
* out-sprinting Cody while on a borrowed 1990’s 26er
* Cowboy
* keeping the vibes high and showing us an interesting take on the Belgian stairs

Only one more weekend of racing left, come hang with us in Monroe on December 6-7! As always massive thanks to the entire team for making these happen.

The cats had a great day of racing around Elks Aidmore at the 7th stop of the GA Cyclocross season yesterday. We finally had some proper cyclcross conditions of rain and mud which made for a super fun course. Ben took the cat 5 win, Jerry sent it through the cat 4 and singlespeed races, Cody enjoyed the lack of barriers and Brian managed to take a beer hand-up in every lap of the masters 4/5 race. Awesome times all around, can’t wait for the last couple of races this season!

In October 2023, Cody Wellons, Chanel Zeisel, Jerry Buker Jr and Dennis Harville took a trip to Japan to spend 2 weeks riding around the country. Chanel had recently gotten a new video camera and shot hours of footage, but in typical ACR fashion we did nothing with this as we were too busy and lazy to find the time to edit anything. Now that it’s been nearly a year, we figured we should get some of this out in the world and wanted to make a series of quick music video style recaps of some of the fun we had.

This first video documents us flying from Atlanta to Tokyo and riding through Kamakura, Hakone and Fujiyoshida. Stay tuned as we have tons of additional footage to go through, hopefully it won’t take another full year for the next one!
