Precision Softball Hall - 2010

Today was an interesting Saturday. Precision Softball Hall - 2010 played incredible in pool. 7 runs allowed in 3 games. We lost our 1st game in gold bracket, but today was not about winning: it was about honoring Peighton Thames. Peighton, whom I had never known until two weeks ago, passed away this past weekend. I must admit, I shed tears upon the news. I went and hugged my kids and told them I loved them. That’s something her father will never do again. Loss of a child is unconscionable. I’ve seen seen it twice. It’s horrible! We wore her number today and raised $500 for her family. Two weeks ago in the Championship game, we first met Peighton. She was a formidable catcher. We could not run at will. No one on the field knew that was her last game. Please bless her family, friends and teammates as they endure the pain, feel the loss and celebrate the life of their teammate. .
