TKO attendees, you can find Mike Schmidt and me at the motowayz Mobile Command Center at a campsite next to the Red Bull tent and I’ll be on the track Saturday hosting the Klim Oasis Hydration Station at the base of “Up Hill Swamp”.

MotoQuest has requested that I lead their American Southwest Adventure this fall, October 18th - 22nd, 2026. I've had the privilege to guide this adventure on numerous times and it is an EPIC experience. I am writing you all to see if you may like to join me!

Explore the very best of the American Southwest. This motorcycle tour begins and ends in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ride the canyon lands of Utah, Colorado, Arizona and Nevada. Visit Zion National Park, Bryce National Park, Arches National Park, Hovenweep National Monument, Mesa Verde National Park, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley and Route 66. This is not only an extraordinary tour of natural history but a glimpse into the old and wild west as well as Americana culture. The riding through this part of the continental United States is world class, and we are sure you will agree.

This experience is based primarily on pavement with a start and end point in Las Vegas, NV. This adventure loops through Nevada, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. The ride offers stunning vistas throughout the trip and diverse American history.

On our free day in Moab, based upon rider’s desires and bikes they have chosen, we may do an off-road day outside of Moab as there is a ton of interesting things to explore off-pavement.

The American Southwest Adventure takes us through many epic national parks. The following are a few examples of areas we’ll be riding through on the trip: historic mining town of Oatman on Route 66, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Mexican Hat, Canyonlands Nat’l Park, Capitol Reef Nat’l Park, Bryce Canyon & Zion National Park.

We had a terrific group of new motowayz riders at last weekend’s nearly sold out training camp. Overall, we lucked out with the weather. Great time had by all with a whole bunch of new skills and confidence learned! Thank you again to Ken Welty for your help and expertise!

I have a few spot left! Don't miss out. Camp is conducted at 2,200' and 10 degrees cooler than Atlanta area.
