We can’t trust someone unless we know that they are true, honest, faithful in all things, always dependable, and never wavering in their choices, intentions and affections towards us..

Likewise, we can only know that ‘someone’ if we’ve spent adequate time in their presence getting to know them..

The ONLY way to know God, is to spend time with Him in prayer, to spend time in His Word (which. reveals the nature of His unchanging character) and to spend time focused solely on His Goodness towards us in worship..

Without these key elements, we are lost and vulnerable to the harsh ways of a worldly system that wants nothing more than to take literally everything from us, to keep us in poverty and to trap us in a constant state of fear & uncertainty just so the ‘higher-up’s can feel they have some sort of false leverage over us - that we are undoubtedly under their manipulative control.

There is a Scripture which speaks of Jesus, where the religious leaders of the day we’re arguing back & forth on whether to pursue prosecuting Him as a fugitive for breaking their man-made laws (many because He was healing people on a day that was designated as the Sabbath - a holy day set apart for worship that ‘forbids’ any manual labor being done.
One of the wisest of those leaders (Gameliel) spoke the wisest words: that if it was of God, there would be no stopping it; and if it was not, it would simply fail (and die out fairly quickly).

We just might have the choice to succeed or fail in our endeavors; and the actual outcome of anything we choose to do, just might rely on our ability to (1) trust that if it is God’s leading and His will, He WILL absolutely prosper that thing He has placed in our heart to accomplish and (2) our willingness to keep our mind fixed on Him so that He CAN keep us in His Perfect Peace during the process as He works it out.

The beauty of reconnection is something we haven’t held deeply enough within our own hearts. As a result, many relationships in our own lives have been broken. But I think that the whole ‘quarantine’ season provided us all a much needed perspective, and it gave us the opportunity to remember all that is most important in this life; it’s the only one we ‘currently’ have. How about we rediscover the inner-kid inside us all and give that person an opportunity to have hope again, to dream big again, and permission to be in awe and wonder of the possibilities which lay before us as champions.

Sometimes becoming your best self might look different than anyone else’s process, and that’s okay! Just be confident than in the end, you will absolutely be pleased with the results, no matter how you’ve chosen to get there. Being present for those around you going through the same (or similar) struggles is key to facilitating the breakthroughs you will experience in yours.
