Another adventure with my babies! Hiking in Park City, Utah! Loved watching Baker see the "big mountains" for the first time! Can't wait to show baby sister in a few short months!

Exercise Demo: Sumo Deadlift
I usually recommend turning your traditional deadlift stance into a sumo stance around the middle/end of the 2nd trimester and the 3rd trimester. The wide leg stance makes extra room for your growing belly! You can perform this exercise with a kettlebell, dumbbells or barbell!
We had our 20 week ultrasound this week and Baby Vanden Heuvel is a.... GIRL!! We are over the moon excited and know that Baker is going to be the best big brother!! 🎀💗🎀💗

Week 18 Workout!
Family workout consisted of squats, lunges, deadlifts and kettlebell swings! One of my favorite things to do on a Saturday morning is workout altogether as a family!

Week 15 Workout Bump
I am back to working out consistently 4 days per week (took a break from working out weeks 6-8 due to exhaustion and nausea, napping was way more important). Workouts consist of strength training, conditioning and walking. Have been doing a lot of kettlebell swings, good mornings, squats and farmers carries. Have eliminated traditional core exercises like sit-ups and v-ups (have still been planking and side planks). Making it a priority to include my pelvic floor breathing and exercises in my warm up! Morning sickness is mostly gone! Looking forward to getting into the sweet spot of pregnancy!

Childcare can often be a big barrier to fitness. When I first started The Empowered Pregnancy I knew I wanted to help eliminate that barrier and let moms bring their kids! Most of my moms bring children with them to workout! Not only is it helpful for the moms to be able to get their workout in, but it's great for their kids to see their mom working hard towards her goals!
