Don’t shrink.
Don’t start second-guessing everything that makes you YOU.
And don’t confuse standing out with not belonging.

Nobody prepares you for the amount of remembering motherhood requires. Appointments. Practices. Passwords. Spirit days. Forms. Birthdays. Sizes. Snacks.
Meanwhile, I walked upstairs and forgot why. **us

Everybody loves authenticity until your authentic voice challenges something they benefit from.

It’s easy to say, “Be yourself.”
“Speak your truth.”
“Bring your whole self into the room.”

Until that voice starts asking questions.
Until it points out what isn’t working.
Until it stops agreeing just to keep everybody comfortable.
Until your honesty requires somebody else to examine their behavior.

That’s when you find out who actually values authenticity and who only valued your authenticity when it was convenient.

I’ve learned that being authentic doesn’t mean being loud, disrespectful, or unwilling to listen. It means I’m not going to shrink my voice just because the truth makes the room uncomfortable.

You can be respectful and still challenge the status quo.
You can be professional and still say, “This doesn’t make sense.”
You can be kind and still refuse to play along.

And sometimes the most authentic thing you can say is:

“I see it differently.”

That doesn’t make you difficult.

It means you’re thinking for yourself.

Some of the MOST judgmental folks be the ones with the LEAST room to talk. Whew. 😮‍💨

That’s why I try to give people grace. You never know somebody’s whole story, what they’re carrying, what they’re healing from, or what it took just to make it through the day.

And truthfully, all of us have some chapters we wouldn’t want read out loud. 😒

So before you point out somebody else’s mess, make sure yours ain’t sitting right behind you with a megaphone.

Judge less.
Love more.
Mind your business.
And give folks the same grace you hope somebody gives you.

Because none of us are perfect, we’re all just trying to figure this life thing out. 💛

They don’t understand? Oh well. Do it anyways.
They won’t stop talking about you? Baby, they were gonna talk regardless. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Stop waiting for everybody to agree with a life they don’t have to live.

Sometimes you have to make the move while your hands are shaking. Change your mind. Start over. Leave. Try again. Go where you’re celebrated. Choose peace. Choose YOU.

And no, you don’t need to explain every decision.

A Ta**us will think about it 847 times first anyway. Once we finally decide….

MOVE.

You might be scared.
You might not know exactly how it’s going to work out.
You might have to figure some ish out along the way.
