On , we celebrate the stories that inspire us. Books have the power to change lives, just like adoption. Let’s give every child the gift of a story filled with love and safety. 📚

Andrew was adopted from the USA in 2023 by Tricia and Ryan. They shared this 18-month post-adoption update: “Andrew is a sweet, happy boy who loves life. He loves reading, being outside, and being silly with his family. He remains a morning person, loves animals, is very inquisitive and wants to know how things work, and he loves to eat. Andrew is shy with new people, but when you win a smile from him, it means a lot.”

Swinging into Spring! On the first day of this new season, we hope you and your families are enjoying warmer weather and outdoor fun.

Grace, pictured enjoying her time on the swing, was adopted from the USA in 2024 by Christina and Charles. They shared, “Grace was placed with us as a newborn, so we have witnessed her grow and change every day! She has a beautiful smile that brightens our world! She laughs and is saying ‘dada’ and ‘mama,’ she says ‘hi’ and ‘cat’ and ‘dog’. She loves to eat her green beans, peas, and spinach! Your generous donation has allowed us as a couple to enjoy the moments of parenthood that we prayed for so long to share with a child. We are so thankful and filled with so much joy raising this beautiful baby girl from a newborn and giving her the life her birth mother wanted for her and for us. It feels really good to know that people truly support this cause, because so many children and birth mothers need loving, dedicated parents who genuinely desire the blessing of parenthood, and Gift of Adoption and its donors believe in this.”

Siblings Johan (age 13) and Dana (age 3) were adopted from Colombia in 2024 by Hannah and Benjamin. Their parents shared, “When we chose to adopt internationally, the cost felt completely overwhelming and insurmountable. Receiving this grant will have a huge impact on the timing of our adoption and has already greatly increased our peace of mind. They are super sweet kids with a very strong bond between them. It's clear that Johan is incredibly attentive to his sister, as well as being an overall kind and intelligent boy. He is a very talented soccer player and is learning the saxophone. Dana is a very happy, expressive, and playful little girl. Adoption will give them the opportunity to experience the love and stability of a family. For Dana, this will be her first experience being part of a family. They will never fear being separated from each other again.”

Happy Valentine's Day! Thank you for making adoptions like Birdie's a reality. Your HEART for this mission is truly appreciated!

Birdie's parents write, "the gift of adoption is the opportunity to create a family built on unconditional love, resilience, and the shared journey of healing, growth, and belonging. It’s the chance to give a child the stability, support, and opportunities they may not have had otherwise, while also receiving the joy, perspective, and deep connection that comes from embracing and nurturing a child’s unique story." Birdie was adopted by Sarah and Rickey in 2024, allowing her to grow up with her biological older brother.

Hug your loved ones today!

"To us, the gift of adoption is saving a child from institutional life. Nikolai lived in an orphanage for his first years. He did not learn to speak and was failing to thrive. He is now interacting with our other children regularly. Nikolai communicates effectively with signs and is just starting to say some words. He has gained 5 pounds thanks to access to nutritious food. We strongly feel that while we are Nikolai's primary caregivers, our community of supporters, including Gift of Adoption's donors, are the true reason why he is home and well. While he is unable to understand that or vocalize his thanks at this time, we can see it through his growth and happiness. We all thank you." Nikolai was adopted in early 2024 by Rebekah and Jonathon with the help of a Gift of Adoption grant.
