I don't hustle and grind . . . But I used to.
Check out my interview on The Hustle and Grind Podcast, where I share about my hustle days . . . how I came up with the name for my company . . . the worst job I ever had . . . what some of my superpowers are . . . and how long it takes the average author to complete their book when they call on the expertise of The Author's Midwife to help.
You can find the episode on Spotify and Apple.

You could try to write your book yourself.
OR
You could just decide to work with an author coach who has already helped others just like you add “author of” to their bio.
Even better, you could choose to work with an author coach who has been doing it for 12-plus years.
It kinda feels like an easy decision.
When you're ready, DM me. I know someone. 😉

Your two secret weapons when trying to write your book — commitment and momentum — fuel the success of your goals.
But you’ve got to start early, earlier than you think you need to, earlier than you feel one hundred percent ready, earlier than you did last year, and the year before that.
Another year will be over before you know it. There’s no doubt you’re committed to writing the book this go-round.
It’s time to get the momentum going now.
So, what are you going to do?
I hope you are going to get started NOW, like right now!
I’ll just sit here and enjoy this hot cup of coffee while you make th decision to DM me and request the link to schedule your complimentary Book Strategy Session.

She hasn't read it yet, but when she does . . . ooooweeee, she's going to love it!🤗
I already know.
There's power in that little book of mine.

The Women in Tech Talk, hosted by the one and only , was quite inspiring.
The women on the panel and in the room represented a compilation of knowledge, intellect, and experience that was mind blowing! They are some of the modern "hidden figures" in Corporate America and government spaces, and they show up with confidence, even in spaces where they are "the only one."
And still, they rise!
What a great discussion about succeeding in male-dominated industries and shining as your true feminine self.
All I can say is that there are some truly amazing stories in the making from this group.
Keep rising, ladies.

My face when a client sends an autographed copy of their book.😁
I am always honored and humbled by the heartfelt sentiments expressed by clients who appreciate our work together.
I really do love what I do. And I'm so proud to work with smart, creative people like .
"Threads of a Needle" is a game changer for anyone brave enough to consider an entirely different perspective on the reality you live, influenced by your beliefs, emotions, and thoughts.
Do yourself a favor and pick up the book, or download the audiobook.

As you take some quiet time these last few days of the year, I have a quick ask: Please drop The Minimsalist Entrepreneur a review on Amazon.
The why: Whether you’ve read the book or you plan to in 2025, your positive review on Amazon helps other readers find the book so they can continue their entrepreneurial journey with a fresh perspective.
When my memoir debuted in January, I was thrilled, and I can’t believe we are quickly approaching a year since it debuted.
The book has done well so far, and I couldn’t be happier.
Your review can be super brief; nothing fancy. Just your sincere, kind words.
Here are a few examples of what you could write. Of course, use your own words to express your thoughts. Be authentic and honest. These are just to help get your creative juices flowing.
“Anita’s insights into entrepreneurship have changed the way I approach my business each day. Great read.”
“I’m excited to read this book to get some guidance on simplifying my business operations.”
“This book is for anyone struggling to figure out how to run a small business and enjoy it.”
“After reading this book, I’m sure I will be ready to call myself a minimalist entrepreneur.”
“I wish I had known Anita’s Minimalist Entrepreneur strategies when I started my business.”
“Good actionable tips for creating a business you enjoy . . . on your own terms.”
Feel free to post a picture of yourself with the book. How fun is that?!
Oh, and check out reviews other readers have posted.

For the past three years, I’ve done something most founders of services companies have balked at.
I shut down my calendar for the last TWO MONTHS of the year!
Why do I do this?
🤔 Are you crazy, Anita? (Some people ask.)
Isn’t this like telling aspiring authors their business isn’t welcome or important?
🤔 Aren’t you just sending people to your competitors? (That amounts to entrepreneurial death, Anita!)
🤔 Doesn’t this kill the end-of-year push to boost revenue?
NO to all of the above.
I do this because I am The Minimalist Entrepreneur.
As such, I intentionally give myself a break at a time of year when most everyone else is ramping up for the holidays, parties, family gatherings, year-end sales, employee layoffs, New Year’s resolutions, closing out the books, and more.
(Okay, seriously, I just felt a heart palpitation as I wrote that. The stress and the struggle at the end of the year can be real!)
As I mention in Becoming the Minimalist Entrepreneur, “Being unavailable is a gift I give myself.” And the people who really want to get started with their book and want to work with me know how to find and engage with me. ;-)
Wishing you a peaceful, stress-free holiday season.

Two authors walk into a Cantonese restaurant . . . 😅
What a refreshing time spent in conversation with . Just a few hours to "be."
We talked about books and family and life. That's all. Just a leisurely lunch among friends.
I needed that.
Oh, and we exchanged our amazing memoirs.
(Be sure to pick up hers: "Daddys House." It is riveting. Extremely well written. Great storytelling.)
Thanks, my friend, for being available.
Here's to great company and great conversations and taking it slow and easy this time of year.

A candid discussion between friends over great food.
What better way to spend a beautiful Monday?
Thanks to a mutual friend, we met a few years ago, have touched base a few times since, and remain in contact, but don't see each other in person often enough.
Today was the day. And what a treat it was.
Here's to more great times, great food, and great conversations, with
