This is Jade’s first year on the ECHS Track & Field team. Her event is the discus.

📌 Favorite Track and Field Memory:
My favorite Track & Field memory was definitely the day I PR’d finally! I felt accomplished!

📌 Future Plans:
After graduation, Jade plans to attend go to college to become a Dentist.

✨ Meet Gavin Rodgers✨
Gavin has been running Track for 8 years, but just transferred to ECHS this year. His events are the 1600m and 3200m.

📌 Favorite Track &Field Memory:
My favorite Track & Field memory was the day I first went sub 4:30 in the mile and proved to myself that anything I believed in was possible!

📌 Future Plans:
After graduation, Gavin plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University to run D1 for 5 years while pursuing a degree in psychology.

From school records and state qualifiers to PRs, hard work, leadership, and memories made together…this season gave us so much to celebrate. We are incredibly proud of every athlete and thankful for the coaches, parents, volunteers, and sponsors who helped make this season possible.

💜💛 Before I share all the fun from our Track & Field Banquet, I wanted to take a minute to recognize TWO incredible ladies who rewrote the record books this season in Pole Vault! 💜💛

Senior Margaret Cole kicked things off on Feb. 17 by clearing 8’6” to break the previous school record of 8’1”, which was set in 2023! 🙌

Senior Olivia Rodriguez continued raising the bar all season long — breaking the record multiple times before ultimately PR’ing at an amazing 10’0” to set the new school record! 🔥👏

What an incredible accomplishment for both of these athletes! Your hard work, determination, and dedication paid off in a BIG way, and we could not be more proud of you both! 💪✨

Big performances and a memorable farewell for Coweta track and field athletes at the state championships in Athens.

Northgate’s Carson Dobur captured state titles in both the 1600 and 3200, while East Coweta’s Francious Culler finished second in high jump with a school-record leap of 6-foot-10, a mark that ranks among the best in Georgia and the nation this season.

East Coweta also saw medal performances from Olivia Rodriguez in pole vault, along with strong finishes from KK Tinsley, Ivory Gilbert and Brandon Seaborn.

The meet also marked the final competition for longtime East Coweta coach Jason Newton, who is stepping away after 30 years of coaching.

“It’s bigger than just a season or a sport. We’re family,” Newton said.

✨ Meet Olivia Rodriguez ✨
Olivia has been on the ECHS Track & Field team for 4 years. Her event is Pole Vault.

📌 Favorite Track and Field Memory:
My favorite Track & Field memory is doing karaoke by the pole vault pit at region my freshman year while it was raining and we were waiting to compete.

📌 Future Plans:
After graduation, Olivia plans to major in Film at either Georgia Tech or University of Georgia. Her goal is to make movies that align with her faith and help spread joy.

Olivia, your positive outlook on life will get you far! Best of luck in your future endeavors!

What a day in Athens! 💜💛

It was a LONG day at State, but our Indians left their hearts out on the track and in the field, representing ECHS with grit, determination, and pride from start to finish.

A HUGE congratulations to Francious “Frankie” Culler for bringing home 🥈 2nd Place in the High Jump with ANOTHER PR and a US Top 50 performance! What an incredible accomplishment and an amazing way to cap off the season!

We are beyond proud of all of our State qualifiers for the hard work, dedication, and fight they showed all season long. Competing at this level is no small feat, and you represented Indian Nation well!

Great job, Indians! 💜💛

And then there were 5! Today, we’re cheering on 5 of our very own as they head to the University of Georgia for the State Meet tomorrow!

These athletes have put in the work all season long—early mornings, long practices, tough meets—and now they get to represent ECHS on the BIG stage.

We are so proud of each of you for earning your spot and competing with heart every single time you step on the track. 💪🔥

Harper recently joined the ECHS Track & Field after finishing basketball. His events are the high jump and 4x400m relay.

My favorite Track & Field memory is jumping 5’10” in my first meet.

📌 Future Plans:
After graduation, Harper plans to attend Columbus State to play basketball.
