Today, I’m celebrating all the strong, resilient, smart, funny, hardworking, beautiful mothers who come to work out with me. I know you pour so much of yourselves into your families, often until your own cup feels empty. I love when you come here to fill your cup back up, so you can continue to be the supermom I know you are.

Mothers carry immense responsibilities, and sometimes, taking care of yourself can feel like a selfish act. But taking care of yourself is an act of love for your family. When you make time for exercise and self-care, you're investing in your mental and physical health, which directly benefits your children and loved ones.

I am humbled to support you on your wellness journey. So, here's to all the mothers who prioritize their health, their happiness, and their well-being. Thank you for choosing to fill your cup with me.

NEW: The "Dorm-Bound" Safety Smart Socials are here!

As our high school seniors prepare to head off to college in the fall, I want to help them move on to campus with more than just a rice cooker — I want them to have the confidence and skills to defend themselves.

I am now booking Safety Smarts Socials! Think of it like a Tupperware party, but instead of kitchen gadgets, we’re focusing on empowerment and personal protection.

What is a Safety Smart Social?

I bring the training to your living room or backyard if you host 6 or more people, or you can come to my private home studio with at least 4 people. It’s a FREE 60–90 minute session.

*Mindset First:
I share the Essential Principles from my book, Safety Smarts: The Ultimate Guide For Dodging Danger and Defending Yourself, focusing on risk assessment and risk reduction.

*Physical Skills:
We’ll practice a few simple, effective self-defense moves together.

*The Gear Gallery: Guests can get hands-on with my inventory of personal alarms, pepper sprays, expandable batons, and stun devices.|

A Gift for the Host:
To thank you for gathering your friends and family, every host receives:

1. A FREE Personal Protection Tool (like a high-decibel personal alarm).

2. A FREE 1-hour private Kickboxing/Self-Defense session in my home studio!

While we are focusing on students this summer, these socials are open to EVERYONE. Whether it’s a neighborhood book club, a workplace, or an LGBTQ+ group, I am dedicated to making sure every group feels capable, empowered, and safe.

Ready to host a Safety Smarts Social? I’m booking for June and July now! Drop a comment to grab your date!

It’s my birthday today! 🥳

To celebrate another trip around the sun, I thought I’d share a sweet moment with you all. I took this video yesterday while my sister and I were relaxing by the water at Stone Mountain, and this family of geese decided to waddle right up and join us!

For my birthday this year, I have one small favor to ask. If you’ve ever sweated it out with me in the studio, learned some kickboxing or self-defense moves, or just enjoy the content I put out, the absolute best gift you could give me is telling others!

If you have a minute today, I would be so grateful if you could:

* Leave a review if we’ve worked out together!

* Share my page or one of your favorite posts with your Facebook friends.

* Recommend me to your neighbors or anyone you know who might be looking to get stronger and safer this year.

Thank you all for the constant support, the hard work you bring to our sessions, and for being such a wonderful community. Enjoy the geese, and have a beautiful day!

Happy Friday!

If you are heading to a NO KINGS protest this weekend, remembering personal safety is crucial to the mission. We have updated our Safety Smarts Cheat Sheet (attached) to help you stay safe.

Here is your 4-point safety rundown based on the infographic:

1. Preparation (Before You Go): Establish a buddy system, have a meeting spot, and plan your exit routes. Know your multiple ways to leave, especially towards MARTA. Write an emergency contact number on your arm. Bring lots of water to drink and snacks to eat.

2. Cell Phone Security: Ditch biometrics! Turn OFF FaceID and TouchID. Law enforcement can compel you to unlock your phone with your face/finger, but not your code. Use a strong numerical passcode. Also, remember to put your phone on Airplane Mode; towers get crowded, and this saves battery and prevents tracking.

3. Situational Awareness (During the Event): Keep your head on a swivel. Know your surrounding exits and egress points at all times. Identify cover (something that can stop a threat) versus concealment (something that just hides you). Most importantly, trust your gut. If a situation feels "off," leave that spot immediately.

4. De-escalation Tips: The goal is a peaceful, non-violent presence. Stay calm and speak clearly. If things get heated, "Get low—then go." Move away from friction or bottlenecks. Do not engage with aggression; disengage and re-orient. Maintain personal space.

Let’s look out for one another! For more information about the protests, go to NoKings.org

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

About 18 years ago we found that a leprechaun named Seamus snuck into our kitchen and left a box of goodies with a sweet note for the kids.

When we looked around the house, we found tables turned upside down and green footprints on the toilets and all kinds of other mischief!

Do you have a sneaky leprechaun that causes mischief in your house on St Patrick's Day??

I'd love to know!
