Congratulations to Matthew Runckel on being named to the 2026 GHSCGA All-State Team for GHSA Class A-3A Private! ⛳️

We are thrilled to welcome Ed Wilson to our community as our new Assistant Athletic Director and Head Boys Basketball Coach!

Over the tenure of his career, Coach Wilson has captured three high school State Championships - leading the boys’ basketball team to their first two state titles in school history at Frederica Academy (2011 & 2012), and a state title run with the girls’ varsity basketball program at Lake Oconee Academy in 2022.

Beyond his success on the high school level, Coach Wilson has collegiate coaching experience from Oglethorpe University, where he served as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach and Recruiting Director.

Please join us in giving Coach Wilson a warm, enthusiastic welcome as he steps into this role to elevate our athletic department and inspire our student-athletes both on and off the court!

Coach Wilson will be joined by his wife, Stephanie, and sons Charlie and Sam.

The Drum is shining a little brighter and as the dead week nears its end, we’re ready to welcome athletes back for summer camps and June practices.

We can’t wait to hear the sneakers squeak, the whistles blow, and the energy return to the building next week. Let’s get to work, Patriots! 🔴🔵

Happy Retirement! 🏀🏈⚾️⛳️

With the 2025-26 school year coming to an end, we wanted to recognize two of our very own as they finish their teaching and coaching careers at Mount Pisgah.

Coach Felice has impacted Patriot student-athletes’ lives for decades, coaching on the sidelines for boys and girls basketball, football, and baseball. Coach Smith, who has also assisted on Friday nights with football, led the charge for girls' golf the last three seasons and has impacted dozens of students-athletes in his own right. Both will be moving on after over 60 years of service combined, many of which were done in the blue and red.

We wish you both the best in retirement and know you’ll be Patriots forever! 🔴🔵

Congrats to and on great finishes at Nob North Golf Club yesterday! ⛳️⛳️⛳️

On the girls side, the team finished with a top 5 finish, improving on day 2 with a team score of 172. Elle Adelman’s 12th place finish led the way individually.

On the boys side, the team finished 11th overall and were led by Matthew Runckel, who finished 3rd overall individually, earning 3rd low medalist honors at tournaments end.

A great finish to the season for both teams and a great spring finish for Mount Pisgah Athletics!
