It is that time of year again. If you are wanting to buy a recreational property, now through mid March is the best time to look over potential opportunities. Read below for the reasons why. If you need help or have any questions, give us a call and let’s discuss.
Winter is the best time of year to look at land and here’s why:
- No leaves on the trees and bushes allowing you to see the landscape and better identify flaws in the landscape. Low lying standing water is easier to identify as well as erosion or dam flaws.
- Very little activity of ticks and mosquitos.
- No reptiles including snakes.
- Cooler weather allows you to walk a property without breaking into a full-blown sweat.
- Deer season is over and much less likely to run into any hunters.
If you have been looking for a property to purchase, now is the time to go walk and look at the property and see exactly what the land holds, good, bad or indifferent. Give us a call and let’s go look at your future land purchase before spring green-up begins in March.
