Becoming a crossfit regionals / games athlete while having a 40+ hour work week. Can it be done? Why or why Not? What about if you have a family? Husband, wife? Kids? Even pets? How can it all be balanced where you're putting in the required work to be a professional athlete while tending to your family's needs while working a 40+ hour work week?

Welcome Marcy to the Ho'omau Barbell team! She reached out to me last night and said "I don't care if I never get a handstand push up, lifting is my favorite and I want to get better at it." We will be focusing on her barbell work, along with building strength and becoming more efficient with a barbell in hand. She is a nurse, so her schedule is never the same, I told her that wasn't a problem and that we are going to make it work. Looking forward to seeing where we will go!

What do your rest day activities include? This weekend ours included using our fitness to hike up stone mountain! It was a little slick due to rain, might have slipped once or twice... but we don't have to talk about that ;) How you live outside of the gym will dictate your results for inside the gym!
