We hope you had an amazing time learning new skills, building friendships, and growing both on and off the field. We were incredibly impressed by the effort, enthusiasm, and positive attitudes shown by every camper throughout the week.
A special thank you to Coach Audra Thomas and the Woodstock High School Softball Team for providing outstanding instruction, leadership, and mentorship. Their passion for the game and dedication to helping young athletes develop made this camp a truly memorable experience.

Story time at the park is back! Join us at Veterans Park on Tuesday, June 9th at 10AM for story time with the library.

This week, Cherokee Recreation and Parks welcomes the CAPRA visitation team as part of our reaccreditation process. CAPRA accreditation is the highest national recognition for parks and recreation agencies and reflects our commitment to providing exceptional parks, programs, facilities, and services.

While the accreditation process evaluates standards and best practices, it is really a reflection of the people who make this work possible every day. From maintaining parks and coaching youth sports to leading programs and creating community events, our team works to enhance quality of life throughout Cherokee County.

The Georgia Outdoor Festival & Expo is coming to Cherokee Veterans Park Father’s Day Weekend 2026. Enjoy outdoor vendors, live music, camping, fishing, hiking, biking, demonstrations, and plenty more for the whole family.

Our Therapeutic Recreation program is designed to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities by creating inclusive, engaging, and memorable experiences for everyone.
