Burnet, Texas is home to the state's official Bluebonnet Capital and a three-day festival that draws up to 60,000 people. Behind the scenes, Events Director Kristi Buck used to print and hand-cut vendor applications for more than 400 vendors a year.

A lot of the growth is due to a phenomenon we’ve been calling out for the past year: corporate marketing dollars are moving away from traditional ads in favor of experiential activations at events.
Conference events are currently the biggest segment, but we’re also seeing this at music festivals and fan conventions. Instead of sponsoring badges or t shirts, brands are hosting an event within an event to build awareness.
