When I started walking and got back to the basics of “selfcare”, little did I know, The Father above was preparing my mind, body and Spirit for the REAL BATTLE AHEAD…SOBRIETY!! And now with nearly 3 years alcohol free under my belt, my spirit and I are locked in and moving forward with grace and peace. THIS…is Sobriety. DON’T FEAR CHANGE…PREPARE FOR IT!!🙏🏽💪🏽💜
✨Good morning my amazing people! Welcome to your “Sober Monday Wellness Tip”. You know, for me, Sobriety wasn’t just about removing alcohol… it was about learning how to feel again without running from those feelings.
🫶🏽One of the greatest lessons this journey has taught me is Emotional Intelligence! Learning how to regulate my emotions, calm my nervous system, and self-soothe without going back to old coping mechanisms.
💫Walking, breathing, slowing down, and being honest with myself has helped me build the strength to sit with my emotions instead of escaping them.
🙏🏽Almost three years sober, and what I’ve learned is this:
The real work isn’t avoiding the struggle… it’s learning how to respond to it differently!
