Have you been? My last visit was with high school students this past December. Which sites did you visit? What took you there? What charged for you once you left?
Must-Do South: Montgomery, Alabama As a destination, Montgomery is a journey in contrasts. The Alabama capital is both a proud epicenter of the mid-20th-century civil rights movement and a landscape curiously steeped in Confederate memory. Here, history isn’t merely preserved; it is powerfully experienced.

In Loving Memory: A Tribute to Linda Stafford
It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of Linda Stafford, beloved sister of my dear friend, . Linda’s journey came to an end after an arduous battle with cancer. A proud member of the Gullah Geechee people of Daufuskie Island.
If you pray, I humbly ask that you offer prayers for the progress of Linda’s soul, now freed from the pain and limitations of this earthly world. Please also remember her family during this time of grief, reflection, and celebration of Linda's life.
I am profoundly privileged to feel a connection to this family through Sallie Ann, whose deep spiritual bond and ancestral ties to Daufuskie Island have profoundly enriched my family's life. We first met Sallie Ann on Daufuskie Island, where she lovingly guided three generations of our family, sharing the rich history and lived experiences of the Gullah community. Her kindness and wisdom have left an indelible mark on us.
May Linda’s soul soar high, carried by the love of her family and the strength of her ancestors. 🕊️✨
With love and prayers,
Adwoa
