Today was a great day to change up my cycling routine! This afternoon I hiked Stone Mountain with one of my Morehouse brothers. I hadn’t hiked Stone Mountain in several years so of course, I had that initial “shock the body” moment; after which I settled in and made it up and down. Though the walk up and down was more challenging than several years ago; I always feel blessed that I “move enough” in my daily active life to handle these physical challenges.

Today I completed a 55-mile cycle ride. I’m targeting a 64-mile ride on my birthday. 🚴🏾💪🏾✊🏾

Happy Birthday to my Halloween baby; my youngest daughter, Sydney! () On Halloween Day, 1992; Syd’s birth coincided with Minneapolis/St. Paul receiving 32’’ inches of snow. It’s still a record snowfall for Halloween and was a sign of things to come. Syd’s siblings are 5-12 years older than her, so she was fortunate enough to spend significant time as the “only child” in our household. During this time we established a very significant bond; as she became my “road dog”. We watched and attended sporting events together (especially WNBA & Women’s college basketball) and worked diligently together to help her prepare for AAU and high school basketball. Since that time Syd has evolved into an amazing young woman; smart, beautiful, talented, thoughtful and living her life to the fullest. Syd, I am very, very proud of you and love you to death. Happy Birthday!! 🎉🎈🎂Wishing you a very blessed and memorable day! I Love You! 💕
