Digging through the archives produced this item from May 4, 2003:
MEMORIAL DAY MARATHON
Mr. Lee Wilkins, President of the Edgewood-Kirkwood, Atlanta chapter (ABA South) wants to let it be known that EKA's annual Memorial Day Marathon is right around the corner. On Sunday, May 25th at the Montgomery Street Tossing Grounds balls will be in the air for as long as players can manage to keep standing. Calling the Leaktite Corporation: Send us a gross of No. 5 buckets, and make it snappy! First case starts promptly at 3 pm, so don't be late.
RECENTLY. . .
On April 19th the Montgomery Street Grounds was honored to receive as a guest Dr. William Schneider, President of the Rochester, New York chapter (ABA Northeast). Dr. Schneider managed to squeeze in a visit and toss a quick case during his whirlwind trip to Atlanta. Unfortunately, the effects of travel did not allow him to toss his best, but his efforts to play on regardless of any impediments are exactly what ABA-ers worldwide have come to expect from their leadership ranks. All of us should strive to follow his example.
SHE'S BAAACK!
We at the Newsletter would like to thank those several subscribers who hastened to reattach the severed lines of communication between the Home Office and Northeast Region Governor Ms. Shannon Bell. Gov. Bell was kind enough to send us a note acknowleging receipt of the last Newsletter, so all is well again. WHEW!
GOOD LUCK, AND GOOD TOSSING!
