Please make sure you check out the program - http://caaconference.org/program/
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon. I hate to say that the spring weather looks to be departing, so please pack a bit of warm clothing.
We are having a few issues with the registration portal and due to that we are extending early-bird registration until 11:59 PM(EST - Atlanta time) on the 22nd of February.

Registration is now open. Please go to http://caaconference.org/registration/
Please check out the preliminary line-up of sessions at https://caa2017a.sched.com/
We don't anticipate any changes, but we might have to make a change or two. If made, those will be reflected on the Sched App. I have been promised registration will open soon - my sincere apologies for the delay.
CAA 2017 Schedule Check out the schedule for CAA 2017
Sorry for the delay. Georgia State University has switched its registration portal software and this has caused some unexpected delays. We WILL get it up and running soon. In the meantime, I know people need to budget for the conference. We have done our best to keep conference rates down. The rates listed below include all of the conference essentials (venue space, programs, etc…) plus access to 2 cocktail receptions: the first will be Monday night at the Carlos Museum on Emory’s Campus, and the second will be a happy hour (2 hours really) on Tuesday centered around the posters. Your registration fee also includes 3 coffee/tea breaks each day: 1 first thing in the morning (8-8:30 AM), 1 mid-morning break, and 1 mid-afternoon break. In an effort to keep costs down, we have not provided lunch for everyone. There are numerous lunch spots near campus that have delicious and affordable options. We will provide a list of those on the website and in your registration packet. We are also trying to arrange for food trucks to come one day.
PLEASE remember you have to have paid your CAA International Membership for 2017 to register for the conference.
Early-Bird Registration will close February 17th (apologies again for the compressed registration window).
Early-Bird Full Registration – $250
Early-Bird Student/Low-Income Professionals – $150
Late Full Registration – $325
Late Student/Low-Income Professionals – $175
The conference dinner will be held in Piedmont Park (Atlanta’s version of Central Park) at the Greystone building. Dinner will be informal with drinks and BBQ (a southern tradition) served buffet style. We will also have some music for people to enjoy.
This is an additional cost of $35
Post-Conference trips are an additional cost. Please see that page on this website for more information on those options.
Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up that we hope to open conference registration next week. There are some links to downtown hotels already on the website along with some other info about the venue and events.

The call for papers and posters is OPEN and will remain open until 11:59 PM EDT the 28th of October (Friday). You will find an alphabetical list of the proposed sessions (called "Tracks" in OCS) under the Program tab of the conference website (caaconference.org). When you click on a session and you will be taken to the abstract for the session. If you would like to read all of the abstracts, you can find them at the bottom of the page or you can download a PDF of the abstracts. If you do not find a session that fits your proposed paper, please use the General Papers session. If you are proposing a poster, please select the General Poster session. Given the various formats of the proposed sessions, there will not be a standard length of a proposed paper. You will be working on that directly with the session organizer (track director).
Please go to the OCS website to log-in and submit your session abstract. The link above should take you directly to the submission page. You can also click on the Submissions/Registration tab above. You will need to log-in, go to User Home, click on CAA 2017 and then look for the Submission link at the bottom of the page under the Conference Information header. You can select your session from the Track drop-down menu.
Each abstract should be no more 250 words including session title, author names, affiliations, and email addresses and 3 - 5 keywords. Please indicate the corresponding author if there is more than one author. Remember, the official language of the conference is English and all submissions should be in English. If English is not your first language, it is strongly suggested that you have a fluent English speaker review your abstract before submission.
