Mekong Dragons We are a Nonprofit Dragon Boat Racing Team based in Atlanta, GA. We are open to anyone that wishes to try the sport.

We are one of the largest competitive teams in the Atlanta area, and we strive to promote the sport, currently comprising over 40 members paddlers and volunteers. We regularly instruct and train in dragon boating, promote racing, team building, teach sportsmanship, engage and promote leadership, promote healthy habits, cross-cultural understanding, lifelong friendships, and the thrill of competition. The team practices at least weekly during the warmer months, with a season spanning approximately 25 weeks. While in season, you can find us every Sunday morning at Stone Mountain park. Paddling in a dragon boat is a fun water sport activity and we always welcome any interested person to try it. Send us a message any time for more information. Also, we rely mostly on our own personal contributions to participate at the race events, and personal contributions from team members help maintain our equipment. We would be grateful if you would consider a donation to the team. Please visit our website for more information.

Earlier this evening a serious accident occurred in Dayton, TX, involving monks traveling for the Walk of Peace initiative to Washington D.C. The impact has left two monks in critical condition.
Our thoughts and prayers are with our very own Abbot, Maha Dam Phommasa, of Wat Buddha Khanti of Atlanta who is currently in critical condition. Not only an admired spiritual leader, Maha Dam Phommasa is a beloved supporters to our organization. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the monks involved, as well as their families and communities during this difficult time.
