She'd just had a breakthrough moment, one of those sessions where you can literally see the shift happening in real time, and she paused and said:

"I've been standing in this doorway for three years. I could see where I wanted to go, but I couldn't make myself step through. In one of our sessions, you helped me understand why I was stuck AND gave me permission to finally cross over."

These threshold moments? When someone moves from paralyzed to powerful? From stuck to stepping forward?

This is the heart of the work I do.

And they're reminding me that transformation isn't about having all the answers before you start. It's about learning to trust yourself enough to step into the unknown.

Have you ever stood at a threshold, that space between where you've been and where you are going?

Not quite in the old room , but not fully in the new one either.

That in-between space can make you feel paralyzed. You're fixed in the doorway while everyone else seems to be walking confidently through theirs.

But, what if I told you it's actually sacred.

What if that uncomfortable in-between is exactly where your transformation is waiting to happen?

More on this soon...

Don’t just say these affirmations to yourself. Say them aloud so that you can hear it. Don’t just say them, believe what you are saying. It matters how you speak to yourself.
Affirmations are not meant to remain in your head. When you say them out loud, your ears hear. What your ears hear filters down to your heart where your heart is slowly receiving it. Your voice carries authority. Hearing yourself speak the truth gives it weight. It moves it from just a thought to having an experience.
The goal is not repetitive only, belief is. You may ask, “Why speak words I do not believe, I’m just lying to myself.” You’re not lying, you’re practicing trust. Saying it aloud allows you to slow down to feel the words that you are speaking. What once felt awkward starts to feel familiar, it begins to give you hope and feels possible.
Your mind listens to what your mouth repeats, and your spirit responds to what you choose to believe. Don’t just say the words. Stand in them. Hear them. Let them settle. This is how new narratives take root.

2 Corinthians 4:13
“It is written: ‘I believed; therefore, I have spoken.’ Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak.”

Perfectionism often sounds like wisdom, but it’s really fear. It’s fear wearing a smoothly polished mask.
It whispers to you softly, “I can take care of this a little later.” It convinces you that waiting is responsible, that overthinking is being careful, and that delaying action is somehow protecting you. What it really does is keep you stuck. It causes you to constantly second guess yourself and delays your growth. It delays you from becoming who God intended for you to be. It delays you from stepping into your calling.
Don’t let perfectionism fool you into thinking you need to figure everything out before you can move forward. You just need the courage and willingness to take the next honest step, knowing that assurance and balance are formed through movement, not waiting.

Perfectionism doesn’t just develop overnight. It begins quietly, formed in early moments where approval mattered, expectations felt heavy, or love seemed connected to getting things right.
Whether it comes from the desire to meet certain standards set be parents, teachers, or society, perfectionism, over time those early messages can settle in shaping how you measure yourself. Shaping how hard you push, and how difficult it feels to rest or release control.
Bringing awareness to where this began in one’s life isn’t about blame, it’s about compassion. When you understand the root cause, you create space to loosen its grip and allows you to move forward with grace.

Perfectionism keeps score of every mistake, replaying moments you wish you could undo, and turning what should be learning moments into evidence against you. Instead of encouraging growth, perfectionism creates pressure, fear, self-doubt, and hesitation. This will keep you focused on what went wrong rather than the possibilities. Progress values growth as you consistently move forward. It measures effort, not flawlessness. Progress makes room for learning from your mistakes, making the necessary adjustments as you are becoming.

Gentle Tip: Reframe mistakes as learning experiences, not identity.

01/13/2026

Perfectionism has a way of turning meaningful effort into constant pressure. This mindset causes pressure to do more, to be more, and never fall short. This will quietly drain your strength.
Relief from exhaustion isn’t always found in stopping or pressing the pause button. Sometimes it is about letting go of unrealistic standards or expectations that you set for yourself. God never asked us to be perfect… just faithful.

Gentle Tip: Lower the bar enough so that you can get started. You deserve this!

Perfectionism and excellence may wear the same mask, they operate from very different motivations. Those motivations shape everything that follows.
Perfectionism is often driven by fear. It can be fear of failure, fear of judgment, fear of not being enough. It operates from a need to stay in control. It leaves little to no room for grace and measures worth by performance. Even when the goal is achieved, it rarely brings peace.
On the other hand, excellence comes from purpose and not pressure. It makes space for progress and growth without shame and without the weight of being perfect. It is understood that doing your best doesn’t require being perfect, only being faithful with what you’ve been given.
Perfection will lead to striving and exhaustion. Excellence invites growth and freedom as you step into who you’re becoming.

01/01/2026

A new year doesn’t require a new version of you, just a willing heart. May you release what no longer serves you and make room for what restores you. Walk gently one step at a time, one choice, one moment at a time because…. you are becoming! Looking forward to a great 2026. Happy New Year!
