🧁Team Overlook is fundraising! Our youth climbers are hosting their 2nd fundraiser — a Bake & Crafts Sale fully planned and run by the kids themselves! Every dollar raised goes toward Camp Overlook scholarships so more kids have a chance to climb at Camp Overlook this summer. Come shop, snack, and show these young athletes some love.

*APRIL POTLUCK & M3 EVENT*
We have two exciting events coming together for this month's sunday funday!

On April 19th our Potluck will feature an "Anything but a Chalkbag" competition, join the fun and bring any vessel containing chalk, that is NOT a chalkbag or bouldering bucket- get creative with it! To be entered into the competition, also bring a dish to share!
We will also be hosting Dr Paul from M3 Chiropractic & Sports Medicine, who will be leading a free group session on sports injury prevention specifically for climbers!

This week’s pet shoutout goes to Hazel, a 2 year old mutt who belongs to Martin Torchia, who has been climbing at the Overlook for a little over a year! Together Martin and Hazel like to walk the beltline, and Hazel has a particular likeness for playing with water (see picture 2). Hazel has her very own instagram and thanks to for the submission!

*YOUTH REGIONALS COMPETITION*

We are super proud of our team kids that competed in the USAC regionals competition at High Point Birmingham this past weekend!! They have all worked so hard this season and even just qualifying for regionals is a big accomplishment. We are psyched to announce four of our athletes now qualify for divisionals - including Caleb, Gabriel, Julia, and Kathryn. Caleb came to crush, and is the bouldering regional champion for his age category! We couldn't be more psyched for our kids & our coaches, and can't wait to see Team Overlook crush it at divisionals!

*SEED EXCHANGE SUNDAY FUNDAY*

You know we love our plants here at the Overlook... This month's potluck is coming up this Sunday at March 15th at 11am! We are psyched to be hosting a seed exchange! We've got some small pots and jars for seed planting and propagation, but bring whatever you've got- seeds, plants, dirt, a friend, or a dish!

This week’s pet shoutout goes to Clementine and Marigold! Clementine, a 2 year old Dutch Shepard, and Marigold, a 3 month old leopard Gecko both belong to Sarah Jane. SJ is the general manager of the Overlook and our assistant head setter, they have been an overlooker for ~4 years now!

Clementine is a super smart high energy pup. Her favorite activities include chasing squirrels and sticks, exploring the woods, and playing tug of war with SJ. Clem also loves to herd the goats that live across the street at every opportunity. SJ says “She's also so incredibly smart and perceptive, she always knows how I'm feeling and how to cheer me up.
