What does a life-changing summer cost? For one teenager in Southwest Atlanta, it’s $2,500.

That single gift covers:
🔧 Hands-on mechanical training
🚲 Paid work in a real bike shop
🚌 Field trips that spark career curiosity
🤝 Mentorship that builds confidence and belonging

Right now, 5 of our Frameworks summer interns are already sponsored thanks to 3 generous donors. We’re looking for 3 more people to “adopt a summer.”

When you sponsor an intern, you’re not just funding a program — you’re helping a teenager see themselves in a skilled trade and imagine a future they may not have pictured before.

Will you sponsor one summer? Give today at the link in our bio and directly impact a young person in Southwest Atlanta.

Thursday Night Suppers are BACK starting next week 🍽️🚲 Join us every Thursday at 6 PM right here at Bearings for a shared meal and time together. Bring your family, a friend curious about Bearings, your neighbors, or come by yourself! These dinners are open to everyone and meant to create space for conversation, connection, and fellowship beyond the bike. We’re excited to gather with y’all again 💛

Got a bike you’re not using? 🚲 Your donated bike can support youth programs, stay out of the landfill, and keep more people riding in the community. Every bike donated helps teach bike mechanics, support hands-on learning in the shop, and help youth earn bikes of their own.

Our friends at in Brookhaven are hosting a bike drive for us on Saturday, June 6, so drop your bike off at the Brookhaven location that morning!

If you’ve got one sitting in your garage, bring it by and give it a second life 💛 982 Murphy Ave SW

That’s a wrap on our Trail Rangers season 💛 We couldn’t be more proud of the nearly 50 2–5 graders who showed up every Wednesday, practiced hard, and steadily built confidence and skills race after race. Watching these kids grow as riders, and teammates, has been such a joy. We can’t wait for the next elementary season, but for now, help us celebrate these awesome Trail Rangers who gave it their all this year! 🚲 Thank you .cycling for putting on another incredible season!!

Today’s is a Cannondale F300 ready for the kind of rides that turn a quick commute into an all-day detour. Shimano XT drivetrain, touring bars, and gravel tires that feel just as good on pavement as they do when the route gets a little loose. Freshly refurbished and tuned up in our shop, and ready for plenty more miles ahead. Bonus: the black and yellow color way screams Bearings 😉🚲

The shop will be buzzing this summer 🚲🔧 We’re welcoming 8 new interns who’ll be learning bike mechanics, gaining real shop experience, and exploring career opportunities in the trades—all while being paid for their hard work.

Will you help make this summer a success? Sponsor a summer intern for $2,500 and help us train them, pay them, and invest in their future. 💛

Built for the velodrome, reimagined for the city. 🚲
This ’95 KHS True Temper Track Aero started life as a fixed-gear speed machine. We kept it single speed, added a front brake, and swapped the dropbars for some upright bars to make it comfortable, practical, and ready for everyday riding around town.

A classic with a second life; just how we like it.

This Ask Andrae, we’re talking commuter hand signals 🚦

Andrae breaks down what the signals mean, how to use them, and what to look for when someone is signaling to you.

Stay safe out there, use your signals, and have fun riding!

We’re still smiling from such a fun Bike-Along! 💛 From the beautiful weather to the long conversations, bike rides, and time spent with so many of our supporters — it was a really special day. Because of this community, we raised just over $18,000, which helps keep our programs free or low-cost for the families we serve through the summer and the rest of the year.

Thank you to everyone who rode, stopped by, bought raffle tickets, volunteered, and showed up for Bearings in such a big way. And a huge shoutout to for capturing these moments so perfectly — we’re so grateful. Special thank you to our sponsors , , , and Urban Realty Partners for helping make this day possible. This is what community looks like, and we’re thankful for every part of it 🚲

We’re calling this the Hot Cheeto bike 🔥 This Raleigh Furley is set up single speed with an eccentric bottom bracket, so it’s ready to stay simple or shift to a geared drivetrain if you want. Mostly original, with a few spicy upgrades — comfy Smaine saddle, fresh grips, pedals, GravelKing tires, and color matched valve covers to tie it all together. Come check it out in the shop!
