These boys walked away with a win in their elimination game and are headed to the silver bracket semifinal right now.

The boys played some of the best defense we’ve saw all season but just couldn’t consistently keep the bats alive.

We knew the competition would be incredible down here but now I know these boys truly have what it takes if they strum it all together.

Taking these boys to the waterpark for a few hours before we grill out as a team this evening. Then they will get some much deserved rest in preparation of a couple afternoon games tomorrow.

Proud of the fight you boys displayed and I’ve never been happier with an 0-2 start.

Our first full day was an absolute success.

We handed out the boys their gift bags, they had a blast doing their pin trading, parade and hanging out during our opening ceremonies.

We ended with dinner on the beach and they played football and wiffle ball till our table was ready. Enjoyed every bit of it.

Tomorrow these boys take the field at 8am and 9:10 for our first two games. Hoping they find a way to put it all together.

The boys swag bag’s for Florida are packed up tight and I can’t wait until they open them.

Next up to end our season is the PG World Series in Destin, Florida!

We didnt have any service at Weatherby but these boys balled out this weekend, battling their way to the Championship.

Their bats were blistering in the ship but had a case of absolutely smashing the ball right into a glove and that’s okay.

Baseball is a beautiful game and when heart and grit is displayed, it truly makes for a great show.

Couldn’t have dreamed of a better way to spend my birthday than with you kids and coaches, proud of you boys.

Your stingers finished 1-1 on the day, losing game 2 11-10.

They finished out pool play and will be first seed of the silver bracket.

Game 1 is at 11:30, Weatherby Park Field 3.

Your stingers are back at it this weekend for their last tournament in Georgia before we head to Destin!

First up Saturday at 230 pm is OP Piranhas followed by Roswell at 4pm.

Both games will be played at Weatherby park, Field 1.

In pure coaches kid fashion and last but not least, #4 Noah McKinney.

This boy is a true testament to what can happen if you take the time to teach a boy the game of baseball. For many seasons, he wasn’t nowhere near good enough to make an allstar team. As a coach and parent, I didn’t look for some other place to say he was good enough to make the team and go run off. I took him to the backyard or the garage and we got busy.

Son you earned a spot on this team this season and I’m very proud of you kid. You got a fire and passion for this game and it brings me joy to watch you play it.

Stingem’ Kid, I love you.

I won’t remember the wins and losses as much as I’m going to remember these moments.

Baseball is a beautiful game and it’s even more special when you try and keep God in the center of it.
