The time is now!

The biggest cause I see of inconsistency from athletes is a result of what they’re being taught..

Almost all the players I see are told they should “stay through the ball” by extending their hands out to the pitcher..

This is the means for a lot of problems. And it’s frustrating to see.

Essentially, they’re being taught to make their swing longer, get disconnected from their big muscles, release their bat barrel early, but still be expected to hit the ball consistently.

Great players may say they “feel” that they want to extend out to the pitcher, so that they can stay on plane longer.

But, none of these great players having this “interpretation” of what they think they’re doing, are actually doing what they say they do! It’s an illusion!

The problem is, you DO NOT stay on plane longer using your hands, you accomplish this by maintaining your posture or spine angle, and continue rotating your body around your spine.

The hand path has to travel in an ARC just as you see Ohtani doing here with the line drawn from his k**b.

Having an a hand path with an ARC gives your the best chance of exposing the sweet spot for the longest period of time, it allows you to stay connected to the big muscles of the fire and legs, and it enables you to provide maximum. Resistance against the ball at contact.

I can tell within one swing when I train a player if they’ve been taught to extend with their hands and arms.

Once I show the WHY they keep rolling over doing what they were precise taught, and I show videos of many great hitters NOT doing what they were taught, the athletes can see that the swing is traveling in an ARC, and the big boys are keeping their arms bent through their swing.

Success Leaves Clues if you just learn what to look for..

What do you guys see Ohtani doing here with his hand path??

ARC or getting extended out to the pitcher??? 05/30/2024
