good luck ladies ans gentlemen!! go have a heck of a season!

I promise you that Vanderbilt University isn't going to ask what your kid's batting average was the year he won the Burger King Championship.

Sometimes we lose sight of the big picture because we want our kids to be great today.

I'm telling you right now, your kid has time.

Don't put them in a microwave. Keep them in the oven.

I didn't start my Senior year in high school, I got cut in college, and I played in the Big Leagues.

I'm not saying everyone is going to play at that level but you can't tell me your kid can't get an education out of this game.

After 30+ years as a player, mental coach, and current scout, I'm convinced more than ever that baseball is so mental it's mind-blowing.

There's a reason why baseball is the biggest self-esteem-destroying sport in the world.

Parents, we have to help young players develop a mental game.

It starts with having what I call an "Opening Day Mindset."

What's every player's favorite day of the year?

Opening Day! Why?

Because there's no "yesterday" or "past bad at-bat" beating us up today.

It's a clean slate.

That's the mentality every player has to bring to the game, each day.

This will create more calmness, toughness, and focus with less tension, pressure, and anxiety.

Now they have the ability to compete with 100% confidence.

Couldn't be more proud of these young men today! Trailing by 7 runs in the 3rd inning and they just wouldn't go away! Battling all the way back to come short in a extra inning! It's clearly not the end result we wanted . But they finally displayed heart! Never giving up battling to the end! I am so proud of this group! We are looking to add two player to our roster for our upcoming 13u 2022 season! We will be having a try out this week. September 28th 6pm I470 complex at Genos field . Covid had us down for almost 3 weeks. Our first tournament back with only 1 practice under our belt playing very solid competition we only allowed 6 runs on the day going 2-0. Great job boys!!! Bring those bats tomorrow!

Reminder that tryouts our two weeks away! It's going to be a Stout 13u season with about 10 tournaments! We hope to see some competitive players come out!😎😊

Well our USSSA tournament in Bridgeport got rained out ☹️ not bad for there 13u fall opening. Only allowing 6 runs in 2 games and scoring 15. Getting better with every stride!
