🩵One day we thought to ourselves:
how much water can we drink in a day while one of our co-owners, Jessica, does all her virtual work 💻AND before she catches on?!
The answer: a LOT of ounces! 🐳💦

Importance of strength training:
- improves bone density to prevent osteoporosis
- builds muscle
- improves functional mobility
- reduces injury risk
And more.
ACSM recommends strength training 2-3 times per week. 2-3 sets with 8-12 reps per exercise.
These are general guidelines. Always consult with physician or your physical therapist before starting a new exercise program.

Kegels aren’t for everyone!
Pelvic floor muscle training is helpful when weakness is present, but research shows many pelvic floor conditions involve muscle overactivity or poor relaxation, not just weakness.
In these cases, strengthening alone can worsen pain and pelvic symptoms.
Evidence-based pelvic floor PT starts with an individual assessment to determine whether the pelvic floor needs relaxation, coordination, or strengthening.
Come see us at Stability Pilates and Physical Therapy for an individualized assessment with our Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist!
