Sometimes we want to skip the part of our maturing process that gets us dirty and go straight to being chosen. God requires us to be chastened, rebuked, and pruned. It’s ALL a part of the process. It’s like picking a ripe watermelon. When picking a watermelon, one of the things you should look for is the large yellowish spot on the bottom, because it has had the most “ground time.” It is the same in our spiritual walk. We have to put in “ground time.” We have to study. We have to walk alone. We have to move in silence. We have to experience some hardships. We have to be told No! We have to wait. We have to grow. We have to mature. All of these things and many more prepare us for the “picking.” We have to come to full maturity for the very things we desire to be, have, or do. So don’t despise small beginnings. You may feel like you’ve been overlooked, but you’re merely putting in your “ground time.” Follow the words of 1 Thessalonians 4:11 “…study to be quiet, and mind your business…” In this “ground time”, it is imperative that you stop focusing on what’s going on around you, and build on what God has placed IN you.

With tears in my eyes and HOPE in my heart, I submit to you to wait until you’re at full maturation.

God is unlocking doors that people said would never open for you! He has a special blessing just for you. God is serving you notice that you’re stepping into something good that He, Himself, has orchestrated! Tell God Thank you!
