Our Story
You are never too old to Twirl! The Twilight Twirlers of Marietta, Georgia come in all ages (presently, 45 to 77 years old). Although some of us were majorettes in high school, many were not. No training is required prior to becoming a Twilight Twirler. We will teach you basic twirls and marches and make you “Twilight Twirler” ready. We only ask that you are at least 45 years of age to join us!
We perform for all types of venues. We have performed for the Atlanta Saint Patrick's Day Parade, Georgia Veteran's Day Parade, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Christmas Parade, Chick-Fil-A Bowl Parade, Marietta Freedom Parade, and Dunwoody Fourth of July Parade, among others. We have performed for weddings, open houses, grand openings, surprise birthday parties, talent shows, and more. We have also entertained at senior centers as well as the Georgia State Capitol in celebration of Women in History month. We have taught third through fifth graders at the Cobb County Library System and have even traveled twice to Orlando’s Disney World to participate in the “TwirlMania” event. The Twirlers practice weekly, and we work hard at our performances…but our main goal is exercise, laughter, having fun, and enjoying the experience of being a Twilight Twirler.
