While discussing this topic on Mother’s Day can be challenging for some, I truly feel blessed and grateful for my living children, both mothers. Each child is one-of-a-kind, and their presence in my life is irreplaceable, as was Bobby’s💔💔

I support the Second Amendment and believe in the right to defend myself and my loved ones. However, I also think it’s critical to advocate for reasonable gun laws that prioritize the safety of all innocent people, especially our children!
Balancing individual rights with community safety is important for a compassionate society.

If my voice can save even one life, speaking out for that cause is crucial. Compassion and action can go hand in hand, and I’m committed to being part of the solution.

Cynthia Smith’s beloved son, Bobby, was senselessly shot and killed at a back-to-school party near Tuskegee University—where he was a student. Bobby was a finance major and a tennis player, who loved his one-month-old son, Dominic. Today, Cynthia still struggles with the injustice of Bobby’s death.
