We're a Middle GA Mountain Biking team serving Baldwin, Greene, Hancock, Jones, Putnam, Washington and Wilkinson counties.
We invite kids from 6th-12th grades in the middle Georgia area to join up and learn more about this fun sport! Tom Glover, President of the Bicycling Club of Milledgeville, is pleased to announce the creation of a youth-focused bicycling organization for kids in the Baldwin County area. The new group, called the Old Capital Racing Youth Mountain Bike Team, is open to all students in grades 6-12.

We’re pulling together one last trail work party for 2023 on this Friday, starting at 10am at Walter B Williams park. My goal is to get all the rest of the trail corridor cleared and ready for equipment to start moving dirt. So, bring your leaf blowers, small chain saws, powered trimmers, etc and let's end the year with some major progress. We will meet up in the parking lot between the pond and the baseball field.

We are getting ready to launch our 2023 season and need your help in getting more kids on bikes! Students in grades 6th through 12th in Baldwin, Washington, Hancock, Jones, Wilkinson and Putnam counties are all welcome. Practices are held at Bartram Trails on Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 6PM and Sundays at 5PM starting July 6th. We have loaner bikes for those who don't have a mountain bike and spend the first few weeks working on skills (so you don't have to already be a mountain biker to join!). We also have scholarship funds for those that need them to cover fees. Our goal is to help students create a lifelong love of cycling. I love that she did this to show that “young girls can do hard things.” This is what youth mountain biking is all about. Challenging ourselves each day to improve and do things we thought we couldn’t do. We start our pre-season April 1st. This 13-year-old Bikepacked the Entire Great Divide Route and She's Not Done Exploring Scarlet Zeigler is a young rider who has proven herself mentally and physically capable of conquering big bike rides.

What an amazing evening! Old Capital Racing and GMC Prep Mountain Bike Teams had their year-end celebration at Lake Country Lanes in Milledgeville tonight. It was a wonderful time bowing, eating good food and enjoying our time together. Here’s looking to a spectacular 2022!
