Vogel State Park’s visitor’s center is a beauty. And their event center/conference room inside adds more excellence to the building. Thanks to Jack and Chuck for hosting us today. We had a good crowd this afternoon. Within that crowd were several Apprentice Academy graduates… was great to hang out with all for a few hours. Oh, and we have a new addition who debuted today… His name is Sargent Owlvin York and he is a 10 week old Spectacled Owl. Just call him Sarge.

This rainy morning we had a Raptor Encounter with the McCaffrey family from Florida... Daniel, Brittany, and Connor. Connor was great with his knowledge of raptors and insightful questions.But Connor's nickname is "Goose." So here's Goose holding Goose!

We’ve got several photos coming soon from today’s RAPTOR RENDEZVOUS at Anna Ruby Falls. The weather was right on the money gorgeous and so were all the people. But I have to share this one first. When little ones walk up I always ask “ who wants a picture with the Eagle Owl on their head? Nobody has the guts… except THIS time. 4 year old Atlas convinced Mom to let him do it. He walked up and Yonah made Atlas look tiny, but he was one HAPPY & COURAGEOUS KID.
