Patriot Productions

Patriot Productions is a Richmond based, owned & operated audio and video production company. Where does the name come from?

After video taping sports in high school for four years followed by another two years in the athletic department at the University of Richmond, I decided to my passion to work more fulltime. That's when I decided to brand my acquired audio and video editing skills into "Patriot Productions". Since my high school mascot at Patrick Henry in Ashland was the Patriots, it only made sense to go with where it all got started back in 1996. Since Patriot Productions was formed in 2003, I've been called on to do work for well respected businesses such as Farm Bureau Insurance, Special Olympics Virginia, The Touchdown Club of Richmond, VCU Athletics and much more. I can do simple photo montage videos, on-site videography, weddings, memorial services, and sports highlight videos just to new a few of our services.

Our month of cross country at Pole Green Park came to a close today with the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship. We produced both the women’s 6k and men’s 8k race broadcast for ESPN+ and the on-site video board. The production featured drone shots, a camera feed from the lead cart, PTZ camera on the mounted to the video board, and two other cameras near and at the finish line. Thanks to Blue Ridge Timing for the timing/leaderboard graphic support.

Spent part of the morning with our friends at Virginia Power Solutions filming a new video with owner Chip Feilds. After the editing process is complete, they’ll use this to send out to clients after they’ve had their new electric or gas generator installed.

It’s been a busy 24 hours working with Richmond Athletics. Last night we recorded their annual Hall of Fame Induction ceremony that included some late night edits before posting online. Today, I was on the sideline for Richmond Spiders Football vs. Colgate, running a camera for the broadcast on ESPN+.

What… a… day…

Well before the sun rose this morning we were at Pole Green Park in Hanover for the Virginia Cross Country Showcase. Upon arrival I found the tent I set up yesterday had flipped over due to the overnight wind. The weather made for some challenges as our team spent most all morning in the wind and heavy rain, but the show must go on. The afternoon lead to much nicer conditions, concluding the day by providing video board and streaming coverage to FloSports of 13 races in total.

It’s cross country season at Pole Green Park in Hanover, marking our return for 2026. Today we provided the video board and YouTube broadcast for Richmond Athletics Spider Invitational. With a drone feed in the air, to three cameras on the ground, this was the first of three events we will be doing there over the next month.

Last week we hosted the Hermitage Wealth Management quarterly market review, broadcasted live on YouTube. We connected three guests, ranging from Richmond to Los Angeles, on one feed providing graphic support with charts and other information. Would you like to use the power of social media to reach your clients while not leaving the office? Send us a message and we'd be happy to share more.

The alarm went off early this morning so we could get to Fairfax before the office opened at Trust Doctors for a Medical Society of Virginia interview with Dr. Sandy Chung. Today’s interview will be used in conjunction with others for a series of TV commercials that will be seen digitally in the Commonwealth of Virginia and several other states.
