Some recent thoughts 💭💓
Helping other type one diabetics go from hiding their diabetes, to absolutely shining! Hi warriors!
Having a healthy mental health, and self image with having diabetes is important! Having acceptance, comfortably being open, and having that next level confidence! My name is Krystl, and I have been type one diabetic for 17 years. I noticed that everything had to do with our physical health, diets, blood sugars, and there was nothing about our mental health, self empowerment, and CONFIDENCE with l

I’m spreading my wings, being young wild and free, and decided in a very short amount of time to move to Austin Texas where I don’t know a soul.
My heart felt called, and so I listened to her whispers. I am excited to grow an exponential amount in this new journey, and I am so excited to see the beautiful people I meet along the way.
I feel so damn free, like I have never felt more free in my life. To show up completely as I am, the unique spiritual hood laughing funny crazy relaxed me.
I am ready for a spontaneous adventures, and deep conversations with nature. I am ready to turn my fears into love.
Adventure has always been my middle name, and I am taking life and gonna ride the f**k out of every single wave. 🌊🤪
We are all in a dream anyway. Do you know when you wake up from a dream and you say “I should have just done it, it was only a dream“ welllll we are living in a more solid dream now, so do it! Don’t wake up and say you should have done it! F what anyone thinks and live YOUR life and do what your heart wants! It’s not too late, even if you’re 90 years old!
Turn those fears into love. ❤️🦋🥰 I’m excited to share this next chapter of my life with you guys! Let’s keep growing together, and live out our m’fckn hearts ♥️

If you want compliments, give yourself compliments. If you want more adventure, give yourself more adventure. If you want more love and attention, give yourself more love and attention. If you want that X factor and that riskiness, give yourself the X factor and riskiness. Because you are the X factor, you are love, you are adventure, you are everything you have always wanted. You just have to allow yourself to have what is all tangible for you to have, and for you to be.

I discovered a simple ass trick to do when you get low so you don’t overcorrect it with too much juice! 🤩👇🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You know when you get low and then raid the fridge with 80 carbs of snacks and juice because your brain is telling you it needs MORE! 😝🧃🍭
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But then you get a rebound high and starts the cycle of the rollercoaster which ain’t fun 😅
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So what I did recently that really worked is when you get low have your 20 g carb snack, and then set a timer for 15 minutes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The next step is you have to keep your mind busy because if you don’t, all you will think about is getting more food.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So do something to keep yourself busy.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Go on TickTock, go on Instagram, read a book, watch tv.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I suggest doing something that doesn’t take any thinking because I know when we are low it is hard to use any brainpower. 🤓😂
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When the timer goes off check your sugar.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If it is still low, have another snack. And if it’s trending up, be patient young grasshopper 🦋
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This did wonders for me and is super simple!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Save this post as a helpful reminder. 💡
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I hope this helps you like it did for me! 💓

Xoxo! 💋

The sun invites my inner essence to shine bright, and express and love who I am.
The trees ground me to my current human experience, and make me feel like I am not alone.
The wind whisps away the thoughts and feelings that are holding me back.
The mountains show me how strong, powerful, and grand I really am.
The clouds comfort me in their ever changing displays, that I am ever changing and that is beautiful. And also to not to take things too seriously🤪
The water heals my soul, my traumas, and brings me back to who I came here to be.
Nature, thank you for being the portal of awakening, light, and love that I needed. 🌱🌞🌻

One way to gain confidence with your devices today 😎😜👇🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s simple…. And effective.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A good start on your confidence and acceptance journey with your diabetes and your devices.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is to start wearing your devices more often where they are visible. 👏🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I remember when I was starting my confidence journey with diabetes and I did not ever want to wear my devices where other people could see them.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I think about it, I would hide them because I didn’t want anyone to ask me what they were. That would open the conversation up for me to tell them I have type one diabetes, and that could be super awkward and they could look at me differently.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was my fears and beliefs that were keeping me ashamed of my diabetes. Like these lies right below 👇🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👎🏼guys wouldn’t want me once they saw my medical gear
👎🏼it was going to be awkward to talk about my diabetes
👎🏼people would look at me differently once they found out I had diabetes
👎🏼I wasn’t as attractive and beautiful with my devices
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I had to put these lies to rest and start exercising my courage muscle and start wearing my devices where people could see them!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To prove to myself the TRUTHS that
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👍🏼guys don’t care at all about my devices!
👍🏼it is empowering to talk about my diabetes and educate others
👍🏼people see me for who I am, not for the devices on my body
👍🏼I’m still a sexy ass mf with my diabetes devices! 😜
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I put my false beliefs in the trash, and decided to wear a crop top with my pump site on my tummy, and my sensor on my arm.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All visible! 😱 lol It sounds crazy but I was legit so nervous to leave the house with all my devices on display.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And each day I got more confident.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is step 1 my friend!
Show them off, it may be a little uncomfy at first but work that courage and confidence muscle!
It will start getting easier and easier, and you will become more and more confident.
Keep tuned for step 2 😎
Stay fly my fellow diababes! 💓
