If your results have stalled, the problem usually isn't effort — it's the system. TnR Fitness is built to adjust what's not working: your training, your nutrition, your recovery, so you can finally reach the goals you've been chasing.

I built TnR Fitness because I was tired of watching people jump from program to program with no real plan.

As a Marine Corps and Army veteran I lost 58 pounds the hard way — through trial, error, and finally structure.

Everything lives inside one app.

Structured programs. Macro coaching. Recovery built in not bolted on. No gym required. No city required.

Four tiers. One system. Built for people who are done guessing and ready for a real plan.

The lion within you isn't awakened by one decision. He's awakened by the daily habits that shape who you become.

Real client, real hesitation, real result. Sierra shares why she almost didn't try online coaching — and why she's glad she did. This is what TnR Fitness Builder Tier is built for.

The late nights have been rough lately.

But something unexpected comes out of them.

Reflection.

Over the last 7 years I have come a long way. Not just professionally but personally. And personally is where the real growth has happened.

I keep my personal life private for my own reasons. But the people who know what these last 7 years actually looked like — you know who you are. And I wouldn't be here without you.

We talk a lot about how no one is coming to save you. How you have to do the work yourself.

That's true.

But doing the work alone and doing it without support are two very different things.

Having people who give you a shoulder. Who tell you the unfiltered truth. Who show up without being asked.

That was the missing piece for me.

To the people who have been that — thank you.

I was listening to a song today — Sit By My Fire by Runa — and it took my mind somewhere unexpected.

Three ancient civilizations. Three philosophies. All of them woven into how I move through life every day.

The ancient Greeks — Socrates, Plato, Aristotle. Knowledge isn't just collected. It's lived and shared in a way that makes others better.

The Roman Empire — Marcus Aurelius led with patience, strategy, and Stoic discipline. Rome expanded carefully and when it moved too fast it crumbled. A reminder to grow steady and never overextend.

The Vikings — the way I train and live. Purpose. Precision. Strength that goes beyond the physical. Warriors who worked hard and lived fully. Comfortable being uncomfortable. Always striving. Never settling.

Three ancient worlds. One way of living.

I didn't expect a song to take me there today. But here we are.

It's 2:30 in the morning and I'm still awake.

Mind racing. No off switch. Pacing the house. The doctorate. The business. The marketing that keeps not clicking no matter what I try.

Three years ago I would have poured a drink to quiet all of this down. Maybe two. Maybe three.

But since late July 2024 I haven't touched the stuff.

And I won't lie — it has crossed my mind these last several nights. Just one drink to take the edge off. But I know where that road goes. And I know that borrowing sleep that way charges interest you don't want to pay.

So I pace the house and work through it instead.

Those sleepless nights cost me the whole next day. Workout pushed. Recovery skipped. Day spent chasing itself.

I don't have the answer tonight.

I just know I'm not the only one living this.

And I'm choosing the right way through it even when it's hard.

I want to be straight with you.

Looking back at recent content I can see how it came across as pushing services rather than serving people. That was never the goal but I own the result.

The online fitness space is saturated. Every day veterans and busy professionals get bombarded by coaches pitching their programs. I know that feeling firsthand from my own inbox. And I fell into the same pattern I can't stand.

That ends here.

Going forward the content from TnR Fitness is going to focus on real information, real stories, and real conversations — without the sales undertone.

I also want to address the requests for in person and hybrid sessions directly. The demand is there and I am grateful for that trust. But with my doctoral program the time and space for those services is extremely limited right now.

Most importantly right now — I just want to show up better.

That starts today.

Week one of the doctorate is done.

And I am not going to pretend it went well.

Between new coursework, in person sessions, and shoulder recovery appointments — my schedule fell apart. Missed my cold plunges. Missed the sauna. No workouts all week.

What I held onto were my walks with Apollo. Two to three times a day. Some weeks that has to be enough.

A rough week has a way of showing you where your structure has holes. And this one showed me plenty — including how much the struggles with marketing have been sitting on me lately.

But the veteran in me speaks louder than the business owner right now.

At 50 my peace comes first. My wellbeing second. My education third. Then the business.

There are two sides to my coin. The business owner who wants to build something meaningful. And the veteran who knows that none of it matters if he isn't okay first.

Finding that balance is the real work right now.

This week humbled me. And I needed it.

Most people don't wait because they're lazy.

They wait because they don't have a plan. They don't know where to start. And without structure the first step feels impossible.

That's why I built the TnR Fitness app.

Inside the app everything is laid out for you. Choose your goal. The app matches you to the right program. Every workout planned. Every session telling you exactly what to do next.

Plus recipe packs, AI nutrition guidance, and direct messaging access to me.

No guessing. No starting from scratch. Just open the app and go.

You don't need the perfect moment. You need the right system.

The Awaken the Lion 30-Day Founders Challenge starts Monday July 13th. Registration closes tomorrow July 12th. Free to join.

DM INDEPENDENCE to get your link before registration closes tomorrow.

The perfect moment doesn't exist.

After 12 years of coaching here are the habits that help people stop waiting and start moving.

Stop waiting for motivation — make a decision. Motivation follows action not the other way around.

Lower the bar to start. You don't need a perfect plan. You need one workout. One day. One decision repeated.

Schedule it before life fills the space. Every Sunday block your workouts like appointments. If it's not on the calendar it won't happen.

Plan for the drive bys. Something will come up this week. Have a backup plan before it does.

Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Growth doesn't happen in comfort. The version of you waiting for perfect conditions is never going to show up.

Comment below if there are any steps I missed — I'd love to hear what has worked for you.
