Training Tip Tuesday 🚨 Tricep Pushdowns
The biggest issue I see is people trying to move too much weight. Once the stack gets heavy, the elbows start drifting forward, the torso starts leaning over the cable, and suddenly it’s less of a tricep exercise and more of a full-body event.
Your triceps only cross the elbow joint. That means the movement should be happening at the elbow, not your shoulders, hips, or entire personality.
A few quick fixes make a huge difference:
-Keep your elbows pinned close to your sides so they don’t drift forward.
-Keep your ribs down so you’re not leaning your whole body over the stack.
-And actually straighten your arms at the bottom of the rep and squeeze the triceps before coming back up.
If you feel this mostly in your shoulders or upper back, the weight is probably too heavy.
Clean reps, full range of motion, and controlled tempo will grow your triceps a lot faster than trying to ego-lift the entire cable stack.
Save this so the next time you do pushdowns… your triceps get that pump 🥐

sumo squats!!
common mistakes i see:
– Too narrow (that’s just a squat with commitment issues)
– Not pushing knees out
– Standing too upright and turning it into a quad movement
– Loading it heavy and cutting depth in half
your tempo matters- control the way down. don’t dive bomb it. take two to three seconds on the down. pause for half a beat if you actually want growth instead of ego reps.
if you’re not sure, film at a 45 degree angle next time & audit your reps using this video
if this helped, save it so your next lower body day actually hits your glutes. or if you’re feelin spicy send it to the friend who says “I just don’t feel sumo squats.”

most people sit too high or too low, let their traps take over, swing the weight, and turn it into a mid back movement.
here’s how to get set up:
- set seat height so handles are roughly in line with mid chest
- slight chest support & neutral spine, no hard leaning
- soft elbows, not stiff arms
- think about reaching forward & wrapping back (not just pulling)
if you can’t feel rear delts working, lower the weight, your ego won’t grow your shoulders

Damn I really am ✨ her ✨
My journey in bodybuilding has been more than building my physique. It’s been tearing myself down to the very depths of who I am, what I stand for, and why I’m here on this earth.
I’ve encountered seemingly impossible obstacles, faced terrible challenges, heartbreak, failure, loss, disappointments. I’ve kept going.
Bodybuilding has taught me how to rise above. How to persevere in the face of these hardships. How to lean on my support systems, and how to be a better support for others.
I’m so proud of what has been done here but I’m excited too. Because this is only the beginning. Every layer I peel back reveals that there is more work to be done. The internal work mirrors the external.
I challenge you to embrace and accept yourself today, as you are. We can continuously seek improvement but you must do the internal work of loving yourself.

Heavy on the “do it if it makes you happy”
If you’re unhappy, only you have the power to change that. Stop doing s**t that doesn’t serve you. Your mindset will dictate the quality of your life whether you recognize that or not.
I choose to be happy. But I also consciously choose to put myself around people and in places that elevate my energy. It takes effort and care, but man you only get one life. I don’t want to spend mine wishing or waiting or being unhappy.
I heard this guy at the gym today say “I love you man” to his spotter and idk why but that just made my whole day. The energy you’re around MATTERS.
I’m thankful for my people. Biiig thankful. Happy Tuesday 🫶🏼
